May 18th is International Museum Day, and as part of the worldwide celebrations, more than 100 museums in Israel are offering free entry to the public and special tours and activities. This year's theme is "museums uniting a divided world."  Galit Landau Epstein, ICOM Israel Vice Chair and Curator of Special Projects at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art  spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal about the special role museums play in culture and society.
