Episode 18 - "Food" Movies!

View descriptionShare

Last time you heard from us we tried to lighten everyone's collective load in the days following the election and listed off some of our favorite mockumentaries. It's a list of flicks that might come in handy if a couple of weeks after the fact your nerves are still frazzled so check that out here if you need it.

This week, with Thanksgiving coming up on us fast, we decided to serve up a hearty list of hand-selected food-centric films to get your appetite going!

Along the way you'll hear some digressions into how many pieces of bubble gum Jared's chewed at one time, Bruce reminisces about being at the LA premiere of "Sausage Party' Chris shoes some love to arguably Steven Spielberg's biggest misfire, and the question of which fast food place makes the best french fries sparks controversy.

Below is our roundup along with links to where you can stream them.

Also, Lee Enterprises just launched a really wonderful new podcast you might like, called The Ethical Life. It's hosted by Richard Kyte, director of the Ethics Institute at Viterbo University, and Scott Rada, Lee's social media manager, and every other week or so they'll explore the intersection of ethics and modern life. You can click the link above, or search for it on your pod player of choice!

Just to be Nominated is hosted and produced by Chris Lay, the podcast operations manager for Lee, along with Bruce Miller, the editor of the Sioux City Journal, and Jared McNett, a reporter for the Globe Gazette in Mason City, Iowa.
