Joey and Nancy Full Show 10-29-26

Joey, Nancy, and Karly talked early voting and Election Day plans.

Karly shared that she saw the movie Wicker in 4DX with her cousin Mary. The movie is about a woman who falls in love with a man made entirely of wicker basket material, and Karly said the moving theater seats made some scenes hilarious. Joey spent the rest of the segment trying to understand why anyone would make a movie about a wicker husband.

Hot Tea: Luke Bryan almost passed on “Drunk on You” because he thought the lyric “girl, you make my speakers go boom boom” was too cheesy. Kenny Chesney announced the loss of his beloved goldendoodle Poncho, calling him the dog that taught him how to love. An Oklahoma man was arrested after trying to escape authorities by tying his ankle monitor to smiley-face balloons that weren’t strong enough to lift it.

The WIVK crew revealed their Halloween costumes. Joey is Woody, Nancy is Jessie, Karly is Rex, and the station frog will be Hamm from Toy Story. They’ll be visiting East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in costume.

The show turned Halloween into a guessing game by having kids call in and perform a voice or quote from their costumes. Listeners stumped through characters like Happy Gilmore, Shrek, Buzz Lightyear, Ghostbusters, Harry Potter, the Wicked Witch, and more.

Karly shared a big relationship update. Her boyfriend Luke is attending her family’s Halloween party and meeting nearly her entire family at once. She admitted her brother makes her the most nervous, and after lots of wild guesses from listeners, she revealed that she and Luke will be dressed as pirates.

Joey brought up celebrity plastic surgery after Karly showed the team a recent photo of Jennifer Lawrence that they barely recognized. The conversation escalated into AI-generated cosmetic surgery photos of the entire morning show, with Nancy joking that Joey accidentally made everyone look too good.

Group Therapy focused on a woman whose dachshund has accumulated nearly $8,000 in medical bills due to kidney problems. Her husband thinks there should be a limit to how much they spend, while Nancy passionately argued that pets are family, and that decisions should be based on a dog’s quality of life, not just the cost.
