Nancy apologized for making the staff meeting go long yesterday. Karly texted and thanked Joey during the meeting because she thought he was trying to wrap things up so everyone could get on with their day. 

Joey shared that his mom, Babs, saw his "summer fit" picture and immediately asked if he was taking Zepbound. He said nope, just diet and exercise, which led to a conversation about how common weight loss drugs have become. 

Nancy said her son refuses to sleep in the guest room during their home renovation because he thinks the antique beds are haunted. The furniture came from her great-grandmother's old hotel, but he's convinced there are ghosts involved and plans to sleep on the couch instead. 

The show got into the crazy Penn State cocaine ring story involving fraternity members who allegedly had pledges helping package and sell drugs. Joey immediately turned it into a dramatic movie trailer. 

Joey and Nancy talked about "after-call ads," where certain apps can pop up advertisements the second you hang up a phone call. That turned into a discussion about all the random places ads have invaded, including gas pumps, rideshares, streaming services, and airport security lines. 

Hot Tea: Hayden Panettiere's mom spoke publicly after Hayden's passing and said she never approved of Hayden's boyfriend. Lainey Wilson landed her first comedy role on Leanne, starring East Tennessee favorite Leanne Morgan. And a man in Norway got fined nearly $7,000 for waking up a sleeping polar bear with a foghorn. 

Nancy was completely over refrigerator shopping after discovering modern fridges now come with cameras, grocery tracking, talking door alerts, and giant cocktail ice makers. She finally hired an appliance specialist because the choices were overwhelming. 

The show watched a viral clip of two Detroit TV anchors arguing off-camera and compared it to one of their own awkward radio moments. Joey brought up the time Nancy kept correcting him while he was trying to talk about the Budweiser Clydesdales.

Joey admitted he has a weird rule about driving. If he sees someone he knows on the road, he refuses to pass them and tries not to be seen. His nightmare came true when a pastor spotted him at a stoplight flossing his teeth like his life depended on it.
