On the final Friday of every month we honor a local law enforcement professional in our community and this month is a bit of a chance. Sergeant McLaughlin had been on our list for some time and with the unfortunate and sudden loss, it left us with a choice and you, our listeners said we should absolutely move ahead according to plan.

So with that we are so grateful to be a small part of posthumously honoring Hanover County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Jim McLaughlin, who is this month’s Lt Jan McTernan Blue Friday Honoree from The Jeff Katz Show on WRVA. We are grateful to Sergeant McLaughlin for his life long commitment and service to our community. Thank you to HCSO Deputies Evan Povar and Barry Bland for delivering Emily’s special Thin Blue Line Bracelets to Sergeant McLaughlin’s family. 

And Thank You Jim for being a light in the dark while honorably serving central Virginia.
