If you're diabetic... or know someone who's diabetic... you probably already know about a bill that was just introduced in the Utah legislature.... that would cap the price of insulin.
The sponsor of the bill is Representative Norm Thurston of Provo.... and we thank you for joining us on KSL.
* What does this bill do?
* You're proposing a price cap. Are there worries that a price cap will lead to shortages?
* How much does insulin cost the average Utahn?
* Can insurance and drug companies working around the price cap? For instace, Lower the price of insulin ... but requiring an expensive specialized needle to be purchased alongside?
* Can this be done legally... with other medications? Anti-depressants... Blood Pressure... Cholestorol drugs? Could there be a bill that caps the price of ALL medications?
