Sundays fortnightly 11am – 1pm, alternating with That’s Jazz

Jazz On The Pulse and That’s Jazz  are fortnightly music programs that present lively and interesting jazz, specialising in music performed by current musicians. 

You’ll hear trad, straightahead, mainstream, manouche, progressive and other genres of jazz.  You’ll hear big bands, small groups, solo performers and many singers.

We showcase music from Australia and give you the chance to hear musicians you might not otherwise be aware of.  We present music by musicians from Geelong and the Surf Coast whenever we can.  But we also give you the opportunity to hear music from musicians who live in other countries, and not just the United States!  Europe is a great breeding ground for jazz and we enjoy listening to many current musicians from there. 

Ross Williamson presents Jazz On The Pulse and Just Jazz with John and Peter.  He’s a keen jazz fan and has presented jazz shows on The Pulse since 1994. 

Overs the last spring and summer George Krupinski presented That’s Jazz.  He’s another keen jazz fan and he began on The Pulse in 2021, after stints with WYN FM and Inner FM.

On The Pulse you can hear jazz three times a week: Mondays 10pm – midnight, Tuesdays 3am – 4am and Sundays 11am – 4pm with a bunch of experienced presenters who love what they do. Many of them are musicians you may have heard around Geelong: others are long-time jazz fans.
