This weekend, Bowling For Soup celebrates their 32nd Birthday with Bowling For Soup Night w/ The Frisco Roughriders on Thursday, their Official Birthday show in Texas on Friday & then headlining The Big Ride in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday. Jaret was one of the 1st major label artists that i interviewed back in my college radio days. We did a phone interview to promote a tour stop in Tulsa at a venue called "Curly's" just after they had released "Lets Do it For Johnny"... After that i saw them 3 or 4 times a year between Tulsa, Stillwater, OKC, Dallas, Denton, & once in New York City. Jaret was gracious enough to let my old band open for them a couple of times at the Cains Ballroom when Drunk Enough To Dance was out & the entire band & crew have always been so nice to me over the years. I haven't interviewed anyone in the band in numerous years, i've only attended shows as a fan and have slowly been building my BFS vinyl collection. It was nice to catch up after all these years & its really cool to see BFS continue to get bigger & bigger.
