J-AIR is proud to bring to you a recording of a special event, an online seminar on 18th Nov conducted by Indigenous Friends of Israel International with guests Dr Mike Kelly AM, who has recently completed a PhD on genocide and is an expert on the Middle East and Rob Schneider CEO of Australian Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Board Member of the William Cooper Legacy Project.

This is a recording of the Liberal Friends of Israel.  In this meeting, various members of the group discussed their thoughts about Israel post October 7.  They shared their reflections after visiting Israel to see with their own eyes.  

The Labor Friends of Israel launch event took place last week at TBI.   Their mission is to promote understanding and encourage collaboration between Australia and Israel.  Labour Friends of Israel was formed by former Labour Minister Mike Kelly, former NSW Treasurer Eric Roozendaal and academic Nick Dyrenfurth of the John Curtin Research Centre who moderated the launch event.  The event features inaugural patrons Nova Peris OAM, former Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews AO. Dr Mark Kelly, a co-convenor and Senator Deborah O'Neill, Chair of the Parliaimentary Friends of Israel also spoke at this event. 

On April 9, Professor Andrew Markus gave a talk at the Lamm Library on the topic: “Understanding support for radical Islam after October 7”. J-AIR is proud to bring you a recording of this talk as part of our efforts to broadcast special events that take place across our community.    Andrew Markus is Emeritus Professor in Monash University’s School of International, Historical and Philosophical Studies.
