We are still getting thank you’s in not only South Dakota ---but neighboring states—for all the reports we had from Washington DC on the fly-in---early this month. Those in other states many times mention they wish their broadcasters had paid as much attention to the needs of those in agriculture in DC—looking for positive motion ----we would like businesses to consider being a part of our Agri-Business Show so you can salute and work as a supplier to those in ag who want good friends who support them----feel free to call and let us know---

We start this morning with Casey Crabtree---who helps us understand all that is going on in Pierre where he serves as a law-maker—and how hard he works in the country-side we cover---

Casey—share what we should know this morning with all the talk—all the pushing of candidates---and agriculture still needing some support

----------------------Casey-------------------------

What you see for October? ---Fields—business---politics—and what?

-----------------------Casey------------------------

Where are you hearing from the candidates in all the forms set to set up the next round—very soon---

-----------------------Casey------------------------

We’ll check in with Plains Commerce------Sarah Heinrich----and Matt Swenson—and quite the group after 10:30----

10:22/30—KELO Commercials

10:24/00---Ag Business 2

We work talking agriculture and financials with Plains Commerce Bank----they make quite the difference---and whether you are headed for a farm show---or just need help-----

Nolan Clarke – at Plains Commerce –can share their thinking on what they can do to help you in agriculture---in business----getting up in age as a senior---or newly married---

If you don’t know it—Banks don’t go around asking requests for help---like Plains Commerce does-----

Nolan---fill us in—for those out there that need some help---how Plains can work with them------

---------------Nolan----------------

Upcoming events that you are working on and where your team might be able to discuss needs and do some serious and much appreciated business----

Steel being made in Iowa?? Playtime coming on 41st in the former Hobby Lobby!!

A data center going……??? Where?? And tomorrow starts…THE FOURTH QUARTER!

Trump announces this week this new steel plant coming to Iowa, its gonna be the biggest, sleekest, coolest plant ever, in typical Trump fashion. Whether you like Trump or not,

that’s what this one will be. A $15 billion plant, in the southeastern tip of Iowa, long way from Sioux Falls. It’s an area that doesn’t have unemployment under 2% - its an area that’s in need of an economic boost. Minnesota will also be benefiting from this steel plant.

The raw product will be coming from the Iron Range in Minnesota in a $3 Billion mining plant, which the raw product will conveniently barge down the Mississippi River as both areas are in proximity to the Mississippi.

So that’s a long ways away, why are we talking about that for a program that highlights the Sioux Falls market. Well, maybe we’ll get better steel prices..so that’s a benefit.

But, Bill, this is really a story about economic development. We didn’t get the call, because we couldn’t employ this facility. Rumor has it however, that Minnesota may have got the call, and between excessive taxation and crippling regulations, the steel plant said, “We’ll look at Iowa instead”. Wow..so that’s how this story ties into real estate.

Our Sioux Falls Development Foundation & Forward Sioux Falls are delivering these same type of results. I’m not saying its $15 Billion, but between everything happening in Foundation park, it may start scratching that level.

That’s not even counting whats going on with Sanford/Avera our medical network, 1st Preimer Bank & Card. This remote area in Iowa needs this, we are experiencing this every year we

The new name in fun coming to town has 3 letters…N-R-G ! What’s that sound like??

Energy. It’s a large indoor entertainment complex going into the former Hobby Lobby at

The Urban Air deal fell apart. It’s great space, adjacent to Costco. So congratulations to Van Buskirks on that deal.

I teased about a data center..totally to grab attention. Don’t really know what’s going on with our local data center. Some say it’s dead, they say they are on pause mode.

That’s ok to pause..I think that’s what’s needed until we understand it better…but our AI appetite is huge, so we’ll be needing more data. Just need to find an area that wants them, like the steel plant in Iowa.

Retailers are excited, Tomorrow starts the 4th quarter. Christmas stuff already at Menards.

--thanks for the visit----Mr. Ron Nelson---

Caroline Hansen—has been working with us on Jackets---FFA----

Thought I would start this conversation in a different thread. National FFA Convention is just a few weeks away so wanted to get a jump on planning some interviews. Convention is the week of October 19-24. It's easier for me to get these figured out before the teachers leave and are on the road.

-----------what else should we know----FFA—one more way our young people mature and grow---

Mr. Tree is ahead---and we’ll check some other morning mentionables----

10:45/00—KELO Commercials
