Blog--September 29, 2025—10-11—It’s Agri Business—Show 49-85
Our It’s YOUR Agri Business--- (of course Agriculture is the #1 Industry in South Dakota)---
In this show---we had the very important opportunity to talk safety for our listeners across South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa—and others that tell us they listen all across the country. Took probably 3000 shows before they discovered we were a good risk---and for the most park had the knowledge to know what was important in agriculture and business for them –our audience.
We started with our friend Terry Ebright----Sioux Valley Energy---importantly talking SAFETY POINTS during the Harvest season
--1---Take the Time—Every Time his harvest season to do WHAT?
--2---Check your farm equipment clearances as you may be near power lines
--3---Look up and around and do a final walk-around before moving farm equipment
---4---Keep your distances from electrical facilities like overhead power lines and green boxes
---5---What to do if you’d come into contact with a power line?
---6---For SVE Members-sign a Safety Pledge and receive a FREE Pair of SVE work gloves at Sioux Valley Energy.com
---7---SiouxValleyEnergy.com—Website for Safety Page: https:siouxvalley energy.com/electric-safety
---8---Call 1-800-234-960 to learn more about Electrical Safety
---9---(Terry had some safety stories) and yes items that we are seeing out in field/public.
Brent Baloun---Plains Commerce Bank—gets us started with the PLANNER-those helping in business—agriculture and those families concerned about how to make ends meet
Sarah Heinrich—Growing Harvest Network –yes forgive them they are from KFGO Fargo---but they are smart people for living so far north in cold.
Matt Swenson----Swenson Commodities—took down the financial road for Grain—meat—energy—and yes the Big Board on Wall Street
Those listening had the opportunity to get the chance to hear Mayor Paul Ten Haken---who led the charge for suicide preventions running across South Dakota with a number of others trying to be a light to help others. His feet were a little tired—but he’s a Big Boy---and wanted to help and did. Lisa Ottmar and Kelly Marshall told us that they have now raised a million dollars to help others—and we are happy to be a small part of what they are doing. Hopefully this show will continue in the future to be engaged in doing more of the same.
Casey Crabtree joined us—talking about the legislative side of what is going on in South Dakota---Tree is in Milbank----where the concern is firewood that may have the emerald Ash Borer as a problem—today, tomorrow and into 2026.
Rock Nelson provided the Rock Report---talking with Tiffany from Dallas---about all that we need to know---today, tomorrow and beyond.
Listen live to the show at 1320, 105.1, 107.9---use the KELO App-streaming on line or just ask Tiffany or Alexa.
