Blog—October 22, 2025—10-11—It’s YOUR Agri Business
Our It’s YOUR Agri Business Show is designed to follow the ups-and-downs of Agriculture—the state’s #1 industry.
We share the story line with Congressman Johnson in our 9-10 and 10-11 hour—with DC talking about the White House giving the Argentina beef advantages over that of those in South Dakota.
After hearing the discussions on what the Administration was doing helping Argentina beef over South Dakota beef---farm organizations were not happy. Dusty---wasn’t happy and answered our questions---and we have asked Senator Mike Rounds to join us on Friday—to talk more about how you co-exist with our #1 industry agriculture and what the White House was doing to those who make up our top industry.
Oren Lesmeister—South Dakota Farmers Union had his say in the 10 Ag Hour---and he made his point—that our cattle country can afford this kind of treatment by those in the White House—or in Congress that forget the importance that corn and beans and our agriculture products have to those in our State.
WE talked with Nolan Clarke---Plains Commerce Bank---on the kind of questions they are hearing from their constituents on in these trying financial times. Could be from business, or agriculture, newly married or couples that have been married for decades. Our suggestions is—if you have questions on the financials –don’t just worry about them—give Plains Commerce a call and ask what they think you can do. We talk about what they do---and what else we should be asking on our agri business and frequently with Plains Commerce leaders in our Business Shows. They are here to help—and we are here to get you help.
Sarah Heinrich—KFGO Fargo—had the Growing Harvest network just before the half hour. Our sister station in North Dakota—provides good information---and we share it in our show. That is what Dakotans who care should be doing and we are thankful for what they do.
Matt Swenson---Swenson Commodities—provides our mid-10:00-hour with the grains, the meat, the energy and the big board on wall street. They are good at what they do and can answer questions early morning –thru the day or late in the afternoon. Thank you Swenson Commodities.
We had a chance –as we do each year---to promote the trip that hundreds of FFA Students will make to the national convention in Indianapolis next week. Laney Andrews shared the story with our audience today---and Geri Eide is always there to help as well. We will follow along next week—and look forward to being able to report and praise those involved.
On another side of the spectrum—Rene Meyer---Exp Reality is an 11-2 OPEN House in Webster Saturday October 25th. We have partnered with them on this property----and will again do a little more promotion in our Friday It’s YOUR Agri Business Show-----call in for Rene is 605-430-9256. We’ll help all we can.
Our It’s YOUR Agri Business Show is available live at 1320, 105.1, 107.9—use the KELO App—streaming on line or just ask Alexa. Norm Anderson posts the podcast of the show----on our KELO-AM Website---my job is to schedule the guests, prepare the Q & A---ask the questions and write the blog that shares what is in the show---and who said it.
