Blog---November 11, 2024—9-10—Report Card Show
   It’s our Report Card Show----as we learned from Neil King---Building Permit Chief that they have on the shelf—enough dollars to reach 1 billion dollars in permits for the 4th year in a row.
   Mr. King pre-recorded his information for use in this show---and right behind was Larissa Deedrich—Executive Director SF House Redevelopment Commission. 
   While we were at Tony Bachman---who helped us host the show---and Bender and Company’s Rob Kurtenbach—explained there thoughts on what it means in housing for Sioux Falls Building Permits.
    The Sioux Falls Housing Market in October 2024 showed increased new listings and pending sales, higher median sales prices $335,000 a 9.8% increase. And a slightly decreased months’ supply of homes despite a national decline in existing home sales. 
     Teddi Mueller—Home Builders Association Executive Director—and the 2024 President of the Home Builders Association Joel Ingle weighed in as well.
     As you might gather---the numbers for Sioux Falls is outpacing other parts of the country-----and it’s something we’ll continue to watch in the last read out that will come on December 2, 2024.
      Dave Kelly ---Fareway Mortgage gave us point towards the Presidential Election  last Tuesday-----and the growth this area is showing. 
     The increased activity in Sioux Falls suggests a local market dynamic less sensitive to national economic factors affecting buyer confidence. Possible contributing factors, not explicitly mentioned but suggested by the data could include strong local economic growth, population increases, or unique regional housing demand exceeding supply.

      We appreciate our leadership in the home building, the real estate side, and the banking side helping us explain what they see---and perhaps where we are going.
      The other thing we are seeing as well is the interest people have in Sioux Falls and an ever-expanding area. Yes Multi-States.
