Blog—May 21, 2025—10-11—It’s YOUR Agri Business

Our It’s YOUR Agri Business---has been doing this for a long time—4,828 shows---today a variety of guests—and we kept the listeners in mind.

For instance—Chris Bartman—with Gingerich Structures----led the Ag Show off –we have a talked a number of times but with all the world surroundings on what is going on supply and demand---needs for those in agriculture---we had a serious conversation---about how he continues to create and conqueror the headlines---the most asked questions with tariffs, and supply and demand---and what is new in the Ag Buildings in 2025.

In our interviews which we expect to do perhaps twice a month---we will find out what he is finding---what those in ag and building circles are telling him—and what he can help them with.

It will keep us and the audience informed on projects that are now happening—where the materials may be coming from---and how Mr. Bartman is really taking care of business.

The interview led the Ag Show—and we had a chance to have meaningful information for the listeners—and yes for those that he serves in the past week.

Brent Baloun—Plains Commerce Bank—is part of the planners whether it be the farmers, the businessmen---the newly married or those worried about social security and their later years. Plains –just p-l-a-i-n LISTENS and we enjoy talking about it in our Monday and Wednesday shows.

Sarah Heinrich---had the Growing Harvest Network—from our little sister station KFGO in Fargo. Matt Swenson had the morning commodities—what he is seeing and the feel that you can get your numbers daily times during Monday-Friday.

We had a chance to listen into a segment of our 9-10 Show that featured—Sioux Falls Health Director Joe Kippley. Joe joins us a couple of times a month—and we are always happy to get the latest scenarios with Sioux Falls health—even what’s happening in the school with Cell Phones taken away during education hours. Needy stuff—probably things you wouldn’t hear from our other friends in Broadcasting. Down to earth discussions---that make a difference—including other guests that are in our Wednesday—Working on Wellness Wednesday Shows.

Joining us as well this morning—Shaw Stewart—AAA---it gave us a numeric look at the number of South Dakotans that will be traveling over the Memorial Day Weekend. This guess is 157,194---will be traveling 50 miles from home. An increase of 3.2% over 2024.

Nationwide the number of travels expected to be at 45.1 million---for the Memorial Day Weekend----that is 3.1% over 2024.

Cost per gallon will average $3.00 up 3.1%---domestic hotels are 8% higher than a year ago on Memorial Day. Domestic roundtrip flight for Memorial Day is $850---two per cent more than last year.

Also suggested you call for AAA emergency roadside assistance—for vehicle breakdown, dead battery, or tire problems.

Top domestic locations based on AAA Travel bookings---Orlando, Seattle, New York, Las Vegas, Miami. San Francisco, Anchorage, Chicago, Denver, and Boston.

Laura Edwards—provided the look to the weekend—what to expect and when. She has always been our favorite as South Dakota State Climatologist.

Listen live to our show at 1320, 105.1, 107.9—use the KELO App, Streaming on Line or just ask Alexa.

Norm Anderson posts the Podcast---I schedule the guest—talk with them on the air –and then write the Blog that gives you a recap.
