Blog---June 25, 2025—9-10—Working on Wellness Wednesday
Our It’s YOUR Business Show on Wednesday becomes the Working on Wellness Wednesday Show
We started with Sioux Falls Health Director Joe Kippley—who has just recently celebrated his one year anniversary—as the City’s Health Director
He had just briefed the Sioux Falls City Council and other leaders just hours before—talking about West Nile, Mosquitos, Ambulances, and Private Care.
With the other shows we do pointing to growth in the city---livelihood that includes surrounding communities, and Kippley’s work with Sanford and Avera. Yes he is in the mix---works to keep our city safe—and he’s good to keep our audience updated .
Right behind in the 9-10—Wellness Show---was our first opportunity to include the wellness—safety---and State-Wide Change on Water Safety at not only Lake Madison but across South Dakota. The tragic death of a 13 year old girl---hit by a jet ski—about 3 years ago—led the Legislature---community leaders---and yes businesses to find a way to keep that from ever happening again.
Larry Kotten has been working with us organizing those that got together to pass the legislation----and look for ways to remember Emmy Gorman.
Thanks to Casey Crabtree and others---the Legislature passed the bill that requires education on the lake---and water-ways—and an age that is closer to being an adult –certainly above 12 year old status.
We have even helped them with prizes from Hillside Resort and Nyberg Ace—to help select special food that can be served. The audience has called from a wide territory to get involved---and we are sure to talk about how their food selection would be a part of the story.
We talked as we do once or twice a month with Dr. Joshua Jorde---yes quite the Chiropractor---
His wife and son are just back from a trip to Ireland---and the first thing Mrs. Jorde wanted when she got home was an adjustment.
Dr. Jorde’s son had a discussion point for us in the show---“how about that chiropractic can help everybody!! And it is certainly true in the Jorde case. So ultimately—anyone with a spine should have a chiropractor that they go to with at least some or lots of regularity.
They are located at 2821 S Center Avenue—just north of the Hyvee on Minnesota Avenue.
We closed the show with Eily Geraets---that knew and spend so much time with the Gorman Family. We talked food and a big announcement coming on Friday.
Our It’s YOUR Business Show---maybe a radio show---but we love to work with communities and causes----families that need some help---and even our neighbors across the street—KELO-TV.
Listen live to the show at 1320, 105.1, 107.9—use the KELO App, streaming on line –or just ask Alexa.
Norm Anderson posts the show as a PODCAST---my job is contact the guests—write the Q & A and scripts—and then write the blog—that helps listeners to know what was in the hour-long show. Feel free to call/text at 605-728-2455 (BILL) or email me at bill.zortman@mwcradio.com.
