Blog---June 18, 2024---9-10---It’s YOUR Business
We were able to follow a lot of bouncing balls---soccer balls from 170 or 180 teams with coverage Friday---Monday and Today---
Our show serves as a reminder that we should be welcoming---let people know we are happy they are in our area---our stores---restaurants---and we want them to come back.
That is why we launched as much as we could with Teri Schmidt---Experience Sioux Falls—and Frank Gurnick---who helped get these teams and fans from many states.
This morning the number of teams will drop from 28 to 14 in the final day with champions headed to Wichita Kansas for July.
What’s at the end of the event is a chance to play more soccer with team-mates—fans to watch----and a summer in 2024 they will remember. As Ron Nelson—Mr. Commercial Real Estate shared with us ---when people come to our town---we make them feel at home---they often come back---look at buying or working---or bringing the family. Frank and Teri believe we have a chance to do it again in 2026.
Jaime Wood—SBA of South Dakota explained to us an event they were doing today at 11:00----
Chrissy Meyer---shared one of the next big events coming this way on August 17th----the Heart Walk---with the likes of an Executive Leadership Team with Jim Woster---old friend who is retired but still leading---Sheku Bannister—Midco market account Executive , Ryan Gardner, Lawrence and Schiller VP of Finance, Lisa Gerner—Premier Bankcard EVP and CFO, Mick Gibs Avera Heart Hospital President and CEO, Shelly Hagen—Avera Medical Group  neurology clinic manager, Kayla Jarchow—Book Your Billboard AE, Maria Taylor—Citibank Executive Analyst, Lori Visker—Sanford Health Director and Valerie Wilson—SD Soybean Program Manager---we’ll continue to follow along was get closer to that August 17th—date—and see what we can do to help.
Michael Cartney---President Emeritus Lake Area Tech----talked to us about Tim Tebow—making the trip to this area Tebow will be here promoting playing and making sure that Lake Area and Watertown get the notoriety. Mr. Cartney will be sharing projects in that part of the state—our listeners should be listening to and responding as well.
80 years—Pfeifers Implement has been making a big difference---we always talk to those Stan Schall and the family that are still working hard---to make sure that they continue the good name and work they have been doing. This morning we got to talk about the difference they make---we know not only farmers---but those in construction –count on Pfeifers and we will be saluting them this summer-with additional segments in July and August. We have shared mikes with them on location—in their store----and yes in our studio---and we salute them for what they have done and what they will do in the future. Jim and Stan keep us informed---and we salute them.
