Blog—January 29, 2025—9-10—Working on Wellness Wednesday
We always take the middle of the week ---for our Working on Wellness Wednesday show----and today---we actually had 4 segments in this show—and the #1 story in the 10---was Medical.
Melissa Magstadt—SD State Health Director led the way. She and her office have been most generous in taking our calls to talk about health care in South Dakota. We find in our dealings with Secretary Magstadt---she shares what is happening—health care wise of course---and makes us appreciate what she does for not only us but across the great State of South Dakota.
Listen for yourself---and you will see her attention to detail----and wanting to keep it informative and as easy to follow as she can do.
Sioux Falls Health Director Joe Kippley followed. We talked about details in our community---people that are working---and what is the health photo he sees –having been in the position for 6 months. He not only answers questions—but looks for the best sense things to share. He –like you and me-------are aware that this community is growing quickly----and as we do----City Health Director wants it to have the reputation of taking care business—and our citizens health. Thank you for what you are doing.
Dr. Joshua Jorde---talked with us about coverage—and insurance leaders starting to understand that chiropractors ARE NEEDED for those with insurance. Whether they have VA or average citizen coverage there are things a Dr. Jorde can do that your 8-4 doctors can’s ----he has the experience and he has the team that pays attention to detail---and what is ailing you. It had been taking a year or two years to utilize the knowledge and expertise of a Dr. Jorde---and other chiropractors. You like you would pick your family doctor—know that a Dr. Jorde is there to serve---and has the team that can keep you as fit as possible.
Mary Michaels—AARP of South Dakota—was in Pierre on Tuesday---visiting the legislature. There was a session to visit with lawmakers---she did that---there was a session to answer questions—you know she did that---and we know that she utilizes her time well with those that are already AARP-ing ----and by appearing with us on the radio—she gets a chance for you to understand what they do—and how they do it. Check e’m out---and asked questions that you have. I promise you’ll learn something.
Our Working on Wellness Wednesday show---does bring people that know medical matters to visit with those that need a place you can go one day a week to get your latest lesson.
