  The stories lines on this MONDAY are a little different----as we hit the first day of September tomorrow—a Tuesday----which means our Remodelers Show would be next Monday--- September 7th –EXCEPT It’s LABOR Day---and like most businesses---our offices will be closed.

----Red Cross----Executive Director---Tonya Peterson----

Tonya Peterson is a lifelong resident of South Dakota, having grown up in the Sioux Falls area.

This month will be Tonya's seventh anniversary with the American Red Cross after having served as a Senior Disaster Program Manager for communities across the Dakotas for the last year, and before that, serving the Minnesota Dakotas Region as a Client Care Manager. Manager.

   Tonya says that she is most excited about being able to fully focus in on and serve the communities that she has lived in her entire life.  

"Over the past seven years in Disaster Services, I've seen firsthand how the Red Cross shows up for people on some of their hardest days.

    That's why I'm so excited to serve as Executive Director. I look forward to building strong relationships, supporting our amazing volunteers and staff, and working with our community partners to make Eastern South Dakota even stronger and more resilient. "  

     Tonya has already hit the ground running, mobilizing communities and strengthening relationships with partners across the Eastern South Dakota Chapter.
