Our It’s YOUR Business Show---covered a family look at what has happened and what will happen this weekend and beyond.

Jodi Schwan—Sioux Falls Business shared it was a big week for regional growth as Sioux Falls, Harrisburg and Tea set boundaries. It may sound like a routine and every year event---but it has not been to the degree it has been in 2025.

The talk of regional growth---working together--- was paramount—with the boundaries that will cross from Mayor and City Councils as part of a long range plan.

There was news about an update on the new Founders Crossing/Good Sam development of the East side.

Some discussion as well about a PROMO for shopping local and the 605-Made Night Market.

Jessie Schmidt-BBB of South Dakota talked about a lot of concerns about the bogus efforts to fool those getting calls---mail and even merchants taking up disturbing threats. It was a reminder that there are disturbing results of a deep five the BBB did into gambling and its effects.

Jessie invites you that with you questions---contact the Better Business Bureau of South Dakota.

Teri Schmidt---EXPERIENCE Sioux Falls again raised the concerns hospitality industry is having the rising day to day costs. And yes we are feeling it here in Sioux Falls as well as STATEWIDE. As we head into fall—and yes the Pheasant Season starts soon--- we need a good season to help off-set the rising costs.

Kip Rounds---South Dakota Game Fish and Parks was able to help us consider the discussions of the important week that Mitchell had with Dakotafest. Kip had been bragging about the importance of what these few days do---- while Kip was at a state-wide meeting in Pierre—one of those he works with closely joined us on the air from Mitchell. Again we talked about that special events---what it does to bring agriculture and others tied to South Dakota together for the three day run.

As we do traditionally in our Friday 9:00-10:00 show---Brandon Hanson—Downtown Sioux Falls provided us with a list of events that people could look forward to in Downtown. Brandon---with a new birth in the family asked me to share a few of the events our listeners could look forward to.

Among them a PASSPORT to the World, Food Tur, both Friday and Saturday with sample foods from Morrocco, Greece and Cuba. Parker’s Bistro, Dada and Club David.

SD Governor’s Biennial Art Exhibition –6-8PM Friday—Free –Head to the Washington Pavilion to welcome the opening of this South Dakota creative tradition showcasing unique and talented artists from across the state-while being free and open.

All My Relatives Fashion Show & Music Showcase 10:30AM-9:30PM Saturday and it’s free.

You can join the free celebration of Native creativity at the Levitt Bandshell featuring food, fashion and music.

Wine Tasting at Harvester Kitchen Sunday at 2PM

From the Sioux Falls Canaries--- John Gaskins did an update as the Bird have won 7 of 9 games. 6 of the 10 remaining games will be HOME at the Birdcage—including “Fright Night” tonight and Native American Heritage Night Saturday.

You’ll want to listen to all of the characters that make the Canaries games so interesting and hear John share who does what.

    Great season—lets finish strong.

Cat Clark starts the golf side from Elmwood and Prairie Green—some big tournaments coming up and yes all of the Cat courses and others enjoying having the Sanford International come in September.

Davis Trosin talked us thru the events that will be happening in September----some great golf stars make the trip here---78 will tee it up including Ernie Els and Bernard Langer. We’ll talk next Friday----as the last Friday in August—and once we start with September---not only falling leaves—but the excitement of these golfers circling and determining the 2025 Sanford International Winner.

We closed the show with Diana Patterson--- Great Shots---is what kind of position she was sharing with Sanford---and she shares Sanford wide—slots each week.

Listen live to the show at 1320, 105.1, 107.9---Norm Anderson will post the PODCAST---I write the blog---schedule the guests—interview them—and hopefully give good communication to a large number of guests who partner with us.
