Here are some notes for you:
Saturday, August 22 at McCrossan Boys Ranch at the Leo P. Flynn Memorial Arena. Gates open at 330p, entertainment starts at 4pm, rodeo kicks off at 5p
This is a family-friendly evening of entertainment featuring the Northern Bull Riding Tour, barrel racing, bull riding, mutton busting, the “Class Clown,” live music from Nobody You’d Know, and more.
It’s an opportunity for people to come out to the Ranch, have a great time, and see firsthand what McCrossan is all about.
It’s also affordable. Families can enjoy a full evening together without spending a fortune.
One point I would really emphasize is that this is much more than a rodeo.
The boys who live and learn at McCrossan have often experienced challenges and circumstances that many of us cannot imagine. Our goal is to give them New Hope for a Better Life, and events like the Xtreme Challenge help make that possible.
When people buy a ticket, sponsor the rodeo, volunteer, or simply show up, they're telling our boys that this community believes in them.
That matters.
The boys see hundreds, even thousands, of people coming onto their campus. They see businesses putting their names behind McCrossan. They see volunteers giving their time. And there’s a powerful message in that.
“Why should someone attend?”
“First of all, because it's just a really fun night. You've got bull riding, barrel racing, mutton busting, music, and entertainment for all ages. But there's another reason that's much bigger. When you come to the McCrossan Rodeo, you're supporting the boys who live and learn here. You're helping provide education, counseling, vocational opportunities, equine programs, and the structure they need to build successful lives. So, you're having a great evening with your family while helping give a young man a second chance.”
“The biggest thing I'd tell people is: come see us. Come experience McCrossan, enjoy the rodeo, bring your kids and grandkids, and know that simply by being there you're part of something bigger. You're helping us continue our mission of providing New Hope for a Better Life for the boys we serve. We would love to see that arena absolutely packed on August 22.”
Tickets available at Haegle’s Western Wear and the McCrossan Visitor Center - $15 in advance / $16 at the gate for adults; Kids 4+ are $5 in advance, $8 at the gate; 3 and under are FREE
