  Our It’s YOUR Agri Business Show---shared Ag Story lines from Darren Hefty—the 2100 or so attending the State FFA Convention in Brookings---under the guidance of Geri Eide, Sarah Heinrich—Growing Harvest Network, Matt Swenson—Swenson Commodities—the Lions Pancake Days scheduled next week---as well as our Ukraine Tour Guide Alla.

   Darren Hefty—Mr. AG PHD started our show off the right way—talking about -yes-there is some corn in the ground---and while surrounding states are planting soybeans—not as many our underground in South Dakota.

  For Darren---he is the one to ask---he has a brother that keeps him honest---and at the same time—has a Sirius 147 or is it 143—at 2PM on Friday—that he talks around the country and the world.

  We did give him and opportunity to talk about the 2100 that are attending the FFA Days in Brookings this week. There projects let them work together with others across South Dakota---and businesses that jump in and make such a difference.

  For Darren---for us---it gives us even more hope for the future---that there is that much interest in agriculture—to make friends—learn the in’s and out’s and get ready for a variety of careers.

  Gerri Eide was good enough to invite me to Brookings to meet the students—and with as much time as we could included people from every corner of South Dakota to share why they are---what they want to learn---and how they can be difference-makers today, tomorrow, and beyond.

  We are of course working on “Our Little Country Town” thoughts for those in our state in Iowa—Minnesota—and other states. What happens there is a big deal---and we’re working for ways to talk about in the future. We have already started-but you can expect---we’ll hear more and more stories from many of those we talked in person on Thursday and on the air today.

   The work they did with feeding South Dakota—left us thankful—that they care-realize there are those that need help---and the best people to do sometimes are the face they see in the mirror.

   We also heard from Sarah Heinrich---with the Growing Harvest Network---Matt Swenson had the morning commodities.

   We promoted Pancake Days next Tuesday and Wednesday in Sioux Falls. Tuesday and Wednesday---$12 at the door—children 6 and under with parents are free. The Sioux Falls Lions Club will serve over 8000 people during the 2-day pancake feed—roughly 60,000 pancakes and 40,000 smokies. 

   It’s the 67th Annual Event---and is at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

   We had a chance to close the show with Alla---originally from Ukraine—and we have seen her represent her family and others who have come to this country---and what an ambassador she is.
