FRANKENSTEIN  by Nick Dear

Directed by Matthew Dryburgh

Performances:October 9 – November 1

Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered Creature is cast into a hostile world by his horror-struck maker. Met with cruelty wherever he goes, the increasingly desperate and vengeful Creature sets out to find his creator and demand a terrifying bargain. Originally produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain, this humane and intelligent retelling of Mary Shelley’s classic focuses on the plight of the obsessive scientist’s forsaken creation—his alter ego and, ultimately, his nemesis—while asking which of them is the true monster.
