He believes nutrition is the driving force by which health is created, sustained, and reclaimed. Dr. Garko also passionately believes that your health is your wealth, and your health is the wealth of those who care about and love you.  He currently serves as spokesman and nutritional consultant for Strauss Naturals.

As the Director of Veteran Services at Irvine Valley College, I am dedicated to supporting veterans as they navigate the challenging transition from military to civilian life. I offer specialized mental health therapy to these veterans, helping them regain a sense of purpose and stability. 

Additionally, I work closely with active-duty service members and their families, focusing on enhancing operational capability and building resilience within the family unit. This take place through my facilitating an active-duty marriage retreat where we teach them on how to prepare themselves for the transition of leaving the military.

I do regular speaking engagements to strive to raise awareness and understanding of the unique challenges veterans face as they reintegrate into civilian culture. In these speaking engagements I go over the key points of my book "The Warrior's Dilemma" and give practical steps veterans can take to readjust from their military service.
