Nathan J. Diament has been the Executive Director of Public Policy for the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America – the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization. In this role, he has led the Orthodox Union’s political and policy advocacy division for more than 25 years. The Orthodox Union Advocacy Centre engages leaders at all levels of government as well as the broader public to promote and protect the Orthodox Jewish community’s interests and values in the public policy arena. Dr Andrew Thomas is lecturer in Politics, International Relations and Middle East Studies, education-focused, at Deakin University. Andrew's research interests include Iranian native scholarship, Middle Eastern sanctions policy, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the intersection of International Relations (IR) theory and practice in the Middle East.
