Dr Anthony Bergin, Senior Research Fellow at the National Security College and senior analyst at ASPI, has a background in political science, law, and international relations. With 25 years in military education, he led the Australian Defence Studies Centre and taught at ANU and the University of Delaware. A prolific writer on national security and foreign policy, he frequently contributes to The Strategist and major publications.

Brig. Gen (Res) Amir Avivi has been the mainstay of the Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) briefings. At the beginning of June at one of the briefings, he announced that he is stepping down from his position as chairman of IDSF in order to pursue a position in the next government.

    Amir Avivi has served as a military lieutenant at the Defense Establishment Comptroller Unit, he was the commander of the Sagi Brigade and the chief of staff for Israeli general and politician Moshe Ya'alon. He sees the coming Israeli elections as crucial for Israel to shaping its future.
