Lyndal Denny has a focus on creating safer roads by educating motorists on safe driving practices around heavy vehicles and working to support more women into truck driving careers.  Across a eight-year trucking career, Lyndal has driven road trains throughout WA, SA, NSW, QLD, VIC and across the top end through wet season flood waters and fires - transporting everything from cornflakes - to oversize mining infrastructure. She’s worked extensively under Rio-Tinto, Woodside, Chevron and BHP HSE systems and regulations.


Lyndal co-founded Pilbara Heavy Haulage Girls – providing newly-licenced women with 160 hours free training in real work environs.

Lyndal was honoured to be named a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow for her work in heavy vehicle road safety.

Through the co-location of a Montessori Middle School within Kalyra Woodcroft Aged Care, Kalyra has created a unique platform for intergenerational activities. Students and residents engage in shared experiences, fostering mutual understanding and empathy. Overcoming challenges, including opposition and COVID-19, Kalyra remains dedicated to the cause. Their program is reshaping perceptions of older individuals and challenging ageist assumptions. It exemplifies how intergenerational connections can pave the way for a more inclusive and age-friendly society, ensuring that ageism becomes a thing of the past.

Inclusee is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to alleviating isolation and loneliness among older Australians by fostering meaningful connections and empowering them to engage with a virtual community centre. Through its Digital Programs and Virtual Community, trained volunteers provide companionship, support, and learning experiences that promote social engagement and personal growth for participants. Inclusee believes that everyone should be able to build lasting connections and enjoy a rich social life, regardless of their location or circumstances. The dynamic virtual community of Inclusee serves as a lifeline, significantly reducing social isolation and positively impacting the physical and mental health of older Australians.
