Proclamation of forgiveness and amnesty

View descriptionShare

2021 has been a tumultuous year of divisive politics and civil upheaval, framed in the midst of a dangerous and deadly worldwide pandemic. Now, as the year wanes and COVID relief is on the horizon, we should take a cue from the great President Lincoln on the reunification of our divided nation. On this day in history, December 8, 1863, Abraham Lincoln issued a proclamation of amnesty and reconstruction, inviting The North and The South to unite once more under the principles of our nation in a spirit of forgiveness and friendship. Boyd reminds us of the importance of celebrating such forgiveness with a #SeeSayDo good story example from a listener.
