A recent poll by Gallop shows that the US church membership falls below 50 percent for the first time in 2020 all the way down to 47%. Robert Putnam His landmark work “Bowling Alone” posited, “Faith communities in which people worship together are arguably the single most important repository of social capital in America.” So, is the increasing trends of loneliness, contempt and political polarization in part to blame on our loss of faith. Furthermore, is society stronger and life better with faith in it?
