March is Brain Injury Awareness Month.
On this week's show host Brian Fitzgerald is joined by Dr Robert Stern who is a Neuroscientist and the Director of CTE research for Boston University. Dr. Stern rejoins Inside Austin to discuss the HITSS.org survey and the progress made with getting enough volunteers. The two of them also talk about the sport of football in some different contexts and just how amazing the brain really is but also how fragile it can be.
Dr. Robert Stern is Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Anatomy and Neurobiology at Boston University's School of Medicine, he is also Director of Clinical Research for the BU Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center.
