After a scoreboard update from Brendan King, Coach begins the final hour talking with Rob Blackman of Purdue radio as the #7 Boilers smoked Indiana 93-64 at Mackey Arena. We head back to HS basketball with HC Scott McClelland of Noblesville as his squad got a 10 point win over Avon. We then shift to Hauser basketball as HC Trent Moorhead and his team got a 76-48 win over Milan. We head over then to Michigan City vs Maryville where Tanner Camp of the regional radio sports network had the call of Michigan City’s 60-54 win.  We head over to the undefeated Fishers Tigers as their Head Coach Garrett Winegar talks with coach about their 66-42 win over Zionsville. We take a moment back to West Lafayette where John Herrick talks Indiana’s loss to Purdue 64-93. We also hear from Steve Kolb of WAXL where Heritage Hills took down Tell City 68-41. We turn things over to Kip Wesner of the Hoosier Basketball Magazine who talks about the ongoings in the state. We also hear from Mt. Vernon HC Joe Bradburn and his squad taking down New Palestine 61-46. To round the show out, we head back to the collegiate level as we hear from the voice of the Cardinals in David Eha as Ball State fell 65-78 vs Akron. 

After a scoreboard update from Brendan King, Coach begins the hour talking with Triton Central’s Head Coach Mark James as his Tigers took down Beech Grove 57-45. We flip it over to North Daviess as they took down White River Valley; we hear from Head Coach Brent Dalrymple as his squad came out victorious. Staying on the High school trail the Quakers of Plainfield took down Franklin Community as we hear from Andy Weaver the HC at Plainfield. We then go to Monroe Central as their HC Brian Klein talks their blowout victory 68-35 over Cowan. Kevin Cherry the HC at Lapel then calls in to talk their senior night win over Madison-Grant 69-47. We continue the busy HS basketball hour with Luers Head Coach Seth Coffing as they took down in-town rival North Side 85-79. Moving over to WKLO’s David Deaton as he had the call of Silver Creek’s 68-50 win over Corydon Central. New Albany took down Bedford North Lawrence 95-61, we hear from Brian Sullivan at WNAS to listen into how that one went down.  

Coach Bob Lovell begins the show after a scoreboard update from Brendan King, talking with Brendan King about his endeavors tomorrow as he takes the air on the CW for Women’s Division I Basketball action between Louisville and Virginia as well as the Pacers 118-131 loss in DC to the Wizards and IU/Purdue live action. Pat Boylan with the Pacers calls in to talk the Blue and Gold’s 2nd straight loss to Washington on a back to back and talk why this season has been successful even with the rough record. We turn to the college hoops side with ISC’s Greg Rakestraw as Pike defeated Lawrence North 68-64.  

The final hour of the weekend begins with a continued conversation with Brian Sullivan of WNAS who had the Charlestown Regional final game Saturday. We then pivot to the Greencastle regional with Rick Johnston of the ISC Sports Network who had huge matchups between Roncalli and Cathedral, as well as Lawrence Central and Pike. Corbin and coach Lovell talk about the Pacers being at the All-Star break before Kip Wesner makes his weekly Saturday night appearance. Where in the wide world of Indiana was Kip today for the girls regional games? We get one final look ahead to the Indiana Hoosiers game tomorrow and other college basketball games taking place in the upcoming week to round out the show.  

To kick off the second hour of the show, it feels like it's been forever since we talked about a Notre Dame basketball win. After beating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Saturday afternoon, we dial up our man Len Clark of Irish 101 to discuss it all. Corbin and coach then pivot to racing and the Daytona 500 coming up tomorrow. They reminisce on 25 years since the passing of Dale Earnhardt Sr. Next, David Deaton didn’t call a game tonight, but he watched the Jasper Regional Championship between Borden and Orleans. He calls in to break it down. Rich Schelsky of Parke Heritage has his teams pounding of Riverton Parke, McCutchen’s girls won a regional title so we hear from their head coach Jeff Knoy and Fonso White of Taylor all make up the middle of the show.  

We promise coach Lovell knows who’s working with him this evening as he starts off the show by almost forgetting who’s doing scoreboard updates. Nonetheless, we move right along and kick things off with a boys basketball game between Rossville and Northwestern. John Natali of the ISC Sports Network was on the call. Then, Corbin and coach toss around how they’re explaining to their significant others that they are doing a show tonight. Next, David Eha from the Ball State Radio Network oversaw the Cardinals’ tough loss to the Golden Flashes of Kent State. The first half-hour of the show ends with the ISC Sports Network’s Greg Rakestraw breaking down Carmel’s bounce-back win against Avon Saturday.  

We get the second hour jumping with Shelbyville head coach John Hartnett breaking down his team's close win over New Pal. Then it’s Mark James with his Triton Central team’s win over Greensburg. Park Tudor came back from 18 points down to beat Liberty Christian tonight. Panthers’ head coach Tim Adams details how his team adjusted and persevered. Monroe Central and Wapahani faced off tonight, and the winning head coach of the Golden Bears Brian Klein has the breakdown for us. The great Greg Rakestraw had Lawrence North and Ben Davis tonight, while we also get to Loogootee head coach Josh Thompson. Plus, Hauser vs. Jac-Cen-Del, Jeffersonville vs Bedford. Lastly, Penn’s Barak Coolman shines light on his team's blowout win over South Bend Washington.  

A Valentine’s Day eve edition of Indiana Sports Talk gets underway with Brendan King and coach Lovell talking about what’s to come on the show and the Indiana Pacers getting fined $100,000 by the NBA for load management. After King was on the call for the Murray State vs. Indiana State game last night, he gives a recap of a comeback effort by the Sycamores and how the Racers were able to pull it out. We then get into the night of high school basketball with John Herrick of the ISC Sports network who was on for both games of the Putnam County tournament. Then, Derrick Williams of Cardinal Ritter feels his team is playing their best ball of the season after their win over Heritage Christian.  

The great David Deaton of WKLO begins the home stretch of the show with Corydon Central’s rollercoaster of a win over Eastern Pekin. The Foundation of the Sports Talk Nation, Brendan King, comments on what he’s up to this weekend; what college basketball games he has his eye on and a special event he’s going to be a part of Sunday with the South Bend Cubs. Then, Coach Lovell runs through the Girls hoops regional tournament games scheduled for tomorrow. It’s been another busy week for Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s Kip Wesner and it’s just getting started. He was in Scottsburg tonight for Silver Creek vs. Scottsburg and previews the girls regional games happening tomorrow. Then it’s back to BK (Brendan King) to parse through where Butler Basketball stands after their loss to UConn Wednesday night in Hinkle Fieldhouse.  

As high school basketball sectionals conclude, Indiana Sports Talk covers it all and more. Host Coach Bob Lovell is joined by WKLO’s David Deaton to detail North Harrison’s 50-26 win over Salem. Ball State Radio’s Nick Tidrow gives a rundown of the Cardinals win and what’s ahead for them. Kip Wesner of Hoosier Basketball Magazine shares about Pike’s 71-53 win over Plainfield that he got to witness. He then also shares about the sectional results throughout the classes across the state, and how they compared to his pre-season predictions. Floyd Central Girls Basketball Coach Jerry Hickey shares about their 52-28 win over New Albany. To finish this weekend’s show, Network IN’s Updates Anchor Brendan King shares about his upcoming Indiana State game, and Coach Lovell shares about his journey into the Hall of Fame(s). 

Indiana high school sectional basketball comes to the final stretch. Indiana Sports Talk Host Coach Bob Lovell shares about the matchups and results from across the state. Nathaniel Finch, Voice of Roncalli High School Basketball, starts off this hour’s round of callers with the Roncalli girl’s 67-38 win over Indian Creek. Corbin Lingenfelter with Inside the Lines details Center Grove’s close game with Franklin Central, winning 55-50. Brian Sullivan of WNAS shares about Silver Creek’s 62-51 win over Madison. ISC Sports Network’s Greg Rakestraw joins to share about IU Indy’s win, and Hamilton Southeastern’s 50-34 win over Carmel. Dr. Len Clark of Irish 101 details Notre Dame’s fourth straight conference game lost in a game that went down to the final seconds. Maconaquah’s Girls Basketball Coach Ray Davis joins to highlight his athletes in their 57-27 win over Western. 

Indiana Sports Talk Host Coach Bob Lovell, along with Network IN’s Updates Anchor Brendan King, start tonight’s show talking Indiana high school sectional basketball, along with college ball that continues on. Indiana High School Sports.com's Brad Huber begins this show's array of callers sharing about Cathedral’s 46-38 win over Crispus Attucks. Then, John Herrick of the IU Radio Network recounts IU’s close 78-77 competition against Wisconsin. Rob Blackman, voice of the Purdue Boilermakers and Marve Bates Sportscaster of the Year, shares about Purdue’s rallying win over Oregon. Finally for this beginning hour, Coach Jared Swanson of the Evansville Memorial Boys Basketball details their 58-56 win over Castle and their long lead up to finally playing this game. 

To kick off the home stretch of the show, Steve Kolb of WAXL in Santa Claus parses through Evansville Mater Dei’s sectional victory over a very talented South Spencer team in the girl's sectional semifinal at Tell City. Next, we go to David Deaton from WKLO who provides further insight into Madison’s win over North Harrison. Kip Wesner makes his appearance to talk about a plethora of games he had around the state this week as well as where some of his contributors went. Wesner also runs through how his predictions and rankings are doing within the magazine. To round out the show, coach Lovell and Brendan talk about the girls' sectional games to watch Saturday and the juicy college basketball slate.  

The second hour of the program gets started with Brendan and coach Lovell talking about the trade the Pacers made to get Ivica Zubac. What do these hoops heads think of the team finally acquiring a center? Then it’s back to girls basketball sectional night with Brad Huber of Indiana High School Sports .com with the Shortridge sectional games. Jerry Hickey of Floyd Central calls in to celebrate his team’s win over Seymour. Then, Brian Sullivan of WNAS had the Charlestown sectional, and he tells us who is moving on and who’s season came to an end. After the Pacers hectic week and a loss to the Bucks, Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files calls in to break it all down for us and where the franchise goes in the short-term and long-term.  

Friday’s Indiana Sports Talk starts with coach Bob Lovell discussing the girls basketball sectional weekend that is upon us and what it means for all the athletes. He also tells a story about how he experienced sectionals as an athlete and how it feels for a season to come to an end. We start the callers off with a lopsided one in the Rushville Sectional as Roncalli demolished New Pal. Nathaniel Finch was on the call and gives us a recap. We also get the perspective of Roncalli’s coach Jason Sims as he calls in to break down the win.  

The final hour of the weekend, Brian Sullivan continues the conversation from the end of the ten o’clock hour as he did a boys and girls game today. We finally get to the Pacers big win over the Hawks with Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files, who says Saturday’s win reminded him of the success the Pacers had last year. Next, we get to IST legends David Deaton and Steve Kolb who had Saturday night high school games to chat about. Kipp Wesner of Hoosier Basketball Magazine makes his appearance to talk about how busy he was with girls' basketball this week and how to buy the Hoosier basketball magazine. WE round out the show with Brendan King recapping the weekend that was in hoops and coach Lovell tells a story about Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Plus, producer Caleb Zuver has his first ever Long’s Donut! 

We dive into the Saturday night high school slate with Trent Moorehead who is elated after his Hauser Jets big win over Batesville. Then, the legend Greg Rakestraw called the game of the week in Indiana between Fishers and Carmel. How did the Tigers manage to keep their winning streak alive? Mark James of Triton Central joins to talk about his teams win over Eastern Hancock and Joey O’Rourke of the Indiana State radio network touches on the Sycamore’s loss to Valparaiso. Then, Cory McKim from River Forest makes an appearance with his team’s victory over Lake Station. We also get to the Indiana Hoosiers’ thrilling win out west over UCLA, a defensive slugfest between Orleans and North Davies. Lastly, Brad Moorehead, Trent’s brother, calls in to chat about his South Dearborn team and their victory.  

The same crew from Friday night runs back as coach Bob Lovell and Brendan King hold down a Saturday edition of Indiana Sports Talk. We start things off with David Eha who traveled to Toledo this afternoon for Ball State’s loss to Toledo. Where can the Cardinals go from here? Brendan was at Hinkle Fieldhouse this afternoon for the Georgetown-Butler game and gave a breakdown of another Bulldog loss. Dr. Len Clark of Irish 101 makes it two appearances on IST this weekend as he talks about another loss for the Notre Dame basketball team, this time to Syracuse. 

For the final hour, it wouldn’t be an IST without some of these callers. Tanner Kamp of the Regional Radio Sports Network starts with Portage vs Michigan City and gives credit to Portage’s head coach Brian Klouse for their success this season. Brian Sullivan of WNAS chimes in with Brownstown vs Charlestown before Steve Kolb from WAXL opines on Heritage Hills vs Evansville Mater Dei. Andrew Smith of NewPalRadio.com had a back and forth contest between New Palestine and Yorktown. Hear who came through with a hustle play late in the game for the Dragons. North Harrisona and West Washington faced off with David Deaton on the call for WKLO and he has the lowdown for us. Of course, Kip Wesner of Hoosier Basketball Magazine was at a triple overtime thriller in girls basketball tonight and he runs us through the final sequences. Lastly, Brendan King and coach Lovell are in awe at the amount of overtime games that took place in the state tonight.  

ISC Sports Network’s John Herrick bats leadoff in the 10 o’clock hour to showcase how dominant Pike was in their 80-49 win over Lawrence North. Also, John Herrick is home this weekend for Indiana’s game against the UCLA Bruins but still gives us a preview of Saturday’s game. Producer Caleb Zuver screws up a scheduled scoreboard update before Brendan King has a story about the upcoming Georgetown-Butler game Saturday afternoon. Greg Rakestraw had North Central vs. Warren Central on the ISC Sports Network. The head coach of Carmel, Ryan Osborn, comments on what he likes about his team right now after their big-time road win at Ben Davis. IST staple Brad Huber had the Brebuf and Chatard game while WMUN’s Kurt Darling had Delta and Wapahani part 2. Fishers vs Franklin Central and Orleans vs Borden round out the hour.

In our first half hour we will be joining in with some of our call-in favorites, coaches, and everything in between. In the final hour of Indiana Sports Talk, we begin with the head coach of Taylor, Fonso White. He has the breakdown on his team’s win over Western. The next call we take is from the Delaware county championship where Kurt Darling of WMUN had the call. Delta and Wapahani faced off in both the boys' and girls' championship games. Despite the girls' game being a blowout, Kurt explains how the boys' game was “an all-time classic” in the history of the Delaware County tournament. David Deaton of WKLO makes his call this hour to chat about a Corydon Central Panther win. Next, Rick Johnston of the ISC Sports Network had two games Saturday. Pike vs Ben Davis in girls basketball, as well as Clinton Prairie and Traders Point Christian in boys hoops. With IU playing in the national championship Monday night, Brad Huber and coach Lovell relish in the moment and what to expect in Miami.  

To kick off the 10 o’clock hour, Pat Boylan gives us the rundown on the Pacers disappointing effort in Detroit against the Pistons. Figuring out the positives in a game like Indiana had is a quagmire because of how much they lost by, but Pat breaks it all down. We switch back over to high school basketball with J.R. Howell of Zionsville. His team got a big win over Park Heritage Saturday evening and he talks about the challenges of playing smaller schools and needing to win those games. Head coach of IU-Kokomo, Erich Echelbarger, checks in to celebrate a win before Clint Swan of Crown Point does the same. An IST legend, Dr. Len Clark, dials up the show to tell the same old story for the Notre Dame men’s basketball team after their third straight loss today. Trent Moorehead of the Hauser Jets talks about his team’s homecoming win in the Hanger Saturday night. To round out the hour, Brian Sullivan of the Clark Floyd Sports Network had New Albany’s win over Scottsburg.  

Coach Bob Lovell and Brad Huber kick off a Saturday night edition of Indiana Sports Talk by recapping Friday night’s action before setting up the rest of the show and what to expect for the rest of it. Greg Rakestraw of the ISC Sports Network is the first caller of the night as he oversaw an overtime thriller between Pike and Lawrence North in the Marion County tournament championship. He also recaps the IU-Indy game earlier today as he was on the call with coach Lovell.  To round out the hour, Brad and coach Lovell discuss the Indiana basketball team dropping another Big Ten game and head coach of Plainfield Andy Weaver calls in to showcase his team’s win over Northview. 

After a scoreboard update from Landon Coons, Coach begins the hour once again talking the Zionsville 10 point victory over Noblesville this time with the Zionsville HC J.R. Howell. He then moves over to Jeffersonville’s 49-48 win over Floyd Central as he talks with Clark Floyd Sports Network’s Brian Sullivan. We head to the girls side as Pendelton Heights Head Coach Nick Rogers talks his ladies 65-42 win ovr New Palestine. We flip things to the NBA level with Scott Agness of the Fieldhouse Files as they talk the Indiana Pacers 10th win of the season over the Pelicans 127-119 behind 29 Jay Huff points. We go to the college ball side with Ball State getting a win over the Ohio Bobcats as we hear from David Deaton with the Cardinals. We head back to HS Hoops with WKLO’s very own David Deaton who had the call of North Harrison’s 55-34 win over Eastern. The show closes out as Coach Bob Lovell talks with Tony Donohue who was on the call of Cathedral girls’ basketball win 65-58 over Chatard.  

After a scoreboard update from Landon Coons, Coach begins the hour talking with Triton Central Hall of Fame Head Coach Mark James as his squad was 58-41 winners over Heritage Christian. We then move to Monroe Central’s squad led by Brian Klein got a 61-57 victory over Shenandoah. We then hear from a familiar voice in ISC’s Greg Rakestraw, who was at the girls’ wrestling state championships today where the Whiteland Warriors took home the IHSAA state championship. Afterwards, we head back to HS Basketball where Doug Novsek’s Mt. Vernon squad got a big win over Southridge 54-41. The Marion County Tournament was in action today, John Herrick calls in to talk the tournament with Coach, we then move to the Delaware County Tournament where Kurt Darling was located as Wapahani and Delta get the wins there. We end the hour hearing from the Head Coach at North Daviess Brent Dalrymple as his squad won 64-42.  

Coach Bob Lovell begins the show after a scoreboard update from Landon Coons as the two talk about Indiana Football who is preparing for the National Championship on Monday versus Miami. Len Clark joins the show to talk about the Portage victory over Lake Central 80-63 to move to 13-0. We then hear from Brad Huber who had the call for Zionsville’s 42-32 defensive win over Noblesville. To close the hour out Coach and Landon Coons talk over some college hoops with IU taking on Iowa and Purdue trying to hit their stride in the back-half of the season.  

Another Indiana Sports Talk staple, Brian Sullivan of WNAS, jumps on the line to hash out Silver Creek’s dominating win over Henryville. Joe Bradburn of Mt. Vernon calls to chat about his squad’s win over Greenfield Central. He also dives into one of his players having a great game in the stat sheet but still wanting more out of him elsewhere. Coach Lovell and Brendan King run through the college basketball slate around Indiana for Saturday and what games to watch as well as certain road trips causing the end of his coaching career. Head coach of Park Heritage, Rich Schelsky, comments on the adjustments schools had to make with IU playing in the CFP semifinal. He also touches on his team’s victory in their long road trip across the state. Brendan King and coach Lovell wrap the show with their final thoughts on Indiana’s national championship birth.  

We finished our conversation with John Natali to start the 10 o’clock and the wild finish in the boys game. Next, coach Thompson from Loogootee relishes his team’s blowout win over Shakamak. Head coach of Noblesville, Scott McLelland calls in and tries to understand how his team found a way to win against Marion. Greg Rakestraw of the ISC Sports Network and Tanner Camp of the Regional Radio Sports Network both had highly entertaining games this evening, and they chime in on them. We also discuss famous.... mustaches? It wouldn’t be an Indiana Sports Talk without them or WKLO’s David Deaton calling in. He does so to break down Salem vs Orleans. As Indiana closes in on their national championship birth, Brendan King and coach Lovell discuss the Hoosiers running up the score. 

To kick off a Friday night edition of Indiana Sports Talk, coach Bob Lovell talks to Perry Nash of Columbus East after their nail-biting victory of Bedford North Lawrence. Then, Brendan King and coach marvel at IU’s performance through one half at the Peach Bowl. They then discuss the IU Indy Jags dropping their game at Green Bay as well as other college basketball notes. Coach Lovell sets up Brendan’s Indiana State broadcast for tomorrow and what people should expect. To round out the hour, John Natali of the ISC Sports Network starts to break down his double-header of Carroll and Delphi boys and girls games.  

Crown Point Head Coach Clint Swan joins coach to talk about the schedule his team runs and his big win over HSE. Andrew Weaver from Plainfield fills coach in on the 2 BIG wins from his team! Jeremiah Johnson hops on to talk about the Pacers loss to the Spurs and the woeful season it has been.

In the final hour of tonight’s program, Coach turns to Brendan King asking about aspirations for the colts at this point in the season. Steve Kolb of WAXL then calls in to talk Heritage Hills basketball after a double figure win over Boonville. David Deaton was on the call for 2 Corydon Central wins, the first of which found a final score of a staggering 77-19! 

During the second hour of tonight's show, Coach is joined by Matt Taylor, the voice of the Colts, reviewing how the Colts got to their current state. Bouncing back to the hardwood, Kurt Darling speaks on Lapel’s 56-47 win over rival Yorktown. Dr. Leonard Clark and coach Lovell then talk the ins and outs of coaching styles pertaining to high school hoops. 

Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files continues the Pacers conversation and how now Indiana has the worst record in the league. How have their goals changed through this season and what lies ahead on the schedule for them? Poor starts continuing to disrupt the Pacers’ flow, but that wasn’t the case Friday night. Then, Brendan King gives us some background on where some of the Illinois schools are that played Indiana schools this weekend. We check in on some of the area's high school basketball tournaments before Nathaniel Finch checked in. He called multiple high school games today at the Wabash Valley tournament including an overtime thriller between Martinsville and Shakamak. 

Fresh off the Christmas holiday for a Saturday night version of Indiana Sports Talk, Host Bob Lovell introduces Brendan King to talk the Colts elimination from playoff contention. Greg Rakestraw then calls in to discuss his recent coverage of northern Indiana high school basketball and a further outlook on the Colts’ situation. 

To start the 10 o’clock hour, Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com gives us an Indiana Hoosier Rose Bowl preview and the biggest storylines heading in. How do they compare to Alabama and how will the game playout? Then, Jeff shifts over to the basketball side and how a long layoff can help the team.
