In the final hour of Indiana Sports Talk, we begin with the head coach of Taylor, Fonso White. He has the breakdown on his team’s win over Western. The next call we take is from the Delaware county championship where Kurt Darling of WMUN had the call. Delta and Wapahani faced off in both the boys' and girls' championship games. Despite the girls' game being a blowout, Kurt explains how the boys' game was “an all-time classic” in the history of the Delaware County tournament. David Deaton of WKLO makes his call this hour to chat about a Corydon Central Panther win. Next, Rick Johnston of the ISC Sports Network had two games Saturday. Pike vs Ben Davis in girls basketball, as well as Clinton Prairie and Traders Point Christian in boys hoops. With IU playing in the national championship Monday night, Brad Huber and coach Lovell relish in the moment and what to expect in Miami.  

To kick off the 10 o’clock hour, Pat Boylan gives us the rundown on the Pacers disappointing effort in Detroit against the Pistons. Figuring out the positives in a game like Indiana had is a quagmire because of how much they lost by, but Pat breaks it all down. We switch back over to high school basketball with J.R. Howell of Zionsville. His team got a big win over Park Heritage Saturday evening and he talks about the challenges of playing smaller schools and needing to win those games. Head coach of IU-Kokomo, Erich Echelbarger, checks in to celebrate a win before Clint Swan of Crown Point does the same. An IST legend, Dr. Len Clark, dials up the show to tell the same old story for the Notre Dame men’s basketball team after their third straight loss today. Trent Moorehead of the Hauser Jets talks about his team’s homecoming win in the Hanger Saturday night. To round out the hour, Brian Sullivan of the Clark Floyd Sports Network had New Albany’s win over Scottsburg.  

Coach Bob Lovell and Brad Huber kick off a Saturday night edition of Indiana Sports Talk by recapping Friday night’s action before setting up the rest of the show and what to expect for the rest of it. Greg Rakestraw of the ISC Sports Network is the first caller of the night as he oversaw an overtime thriller between Pike and Lawrence North in the Marion County tournament championship. He also recaps the IU-Indy game earlier today as he was on the call with coach Lovell.  To round out the hour, Brad and coach Lovell discuss the Indiana basketball team dropping another Big Ten game and head coach of Plainfield Andy Weaver calls in to showcase his team’s win over Northview. 

After a scoreboard update from Landon Coons, Coach begins the hour once again talking the Zionsville 10 point victory over Noblesville this time with the Zionsville HC J.R. Howell. He then moves over to Jeffersonville’s 49-48 win over Floyd Central as he talks with Clark Floyd Sports Network’s Brian Sullivan. We head to the girls side as Pendelton Heights Head Coach Nick Rogers talks his ladies 65-42 win ovr New Palestine. We flip things to the NBA level with Scott Agness of the Fieldhouse Files as they talk the Indiana Pacers 10th win of the season over the Pelicans 127-119 behind 29 Jay Huff points. We go to the college ball side with Ball State getting a win over the Ohio Bobcats as we hear from David Deaton with the Cardinals. We head back to HS Hoops with WKLO’s very own David Deaton who had the call of North Harrison’s 55-34 win over Eastern. The show closes out as Coach Bob Lovell talks with Tony Donohue who was on the call of Cathedral girls’ basketball win 65-58 over Chatard.  

After a scoreboard update from Landon Coons, Coach begins the hour talking with Triton Central Hall of Fame Head Coach Mark James as his squad was 58-41 winners over Heritage Christian. We then move to Monroe Central’s squad led by Brian Klein got a 61-57 victory over Shenandoah. We then hear from a familiar voice in ISC’s Greg Rakestraw, who was at the girls’ wrestling state championships today where the Whiteland Warriors took home the IHSAA state championship. Afterwards, we head back to HS Basketball where Doug Novsek’s Mt. Vernon squad got a big win over Southridge 54-41. The Marion County Tournament was in action today, John Herrick calls in to talk the tournament with Coach, we then move to the Delaware County Tournament where Kurt Darling was located as Wapahani and Delta get the wins there. We end the hour hearing from the Head Coach at North Daviess Brent Dalrymple as his squad won 64-42.  

Coach Bob Lovell begins the show after a scoreboard update from Landon Coons as the two talk about Indiana Football who is preparing for the National Championship on Monday versus Miami. Len Clark joins the show to talk about the Portage victory over Lake Central 80-63 to move to 13-0. We then hear from Brad Huber who had the call for Zionsville’s 42-32 defensive win over Noblesville. To close the hour out Coach and Landon Coons talk over some college hoops with IU taking on Iowa and Purdue trying to hit their stride in the back-half of the season.  

Another Indiana Sports Talk staple, Brian Sullivan of WNAS, jumps on the line to hash out Silver Creek’s dominating win over Henryville. Joe Bradburn of Mt. Vernon calls to chat about his squad’s win over Greenfield Central. He also dives into one of his players having a great game in the stat sheet but still wanting more out of him elsewhere. Coach Lovell and Brendan King run through the college basketball slate around Indiana for Saturday and what games to watch as well as certain road trips causing the end of his coaching career. Head coach of Park Heritage, Rich Schelsky, comments on the adjustments schools had to make with IU playing in the CFP semifinal. He also touches on his team’s victory in their long road trip across the state. Brendan King and coach Lovell wrap the show with their final thoughts on Indiana’s national championship birth.  

We finished our conversation with John Natali to start the 10 o’clock and the wild finish in the boys game. Next, coach Thompson from Loogootee relishes his team’s blowout win over Shakamak. Head coach of Noblesville, Scott McLelland calls in and tries to understand how his team found a way to win against Marion. Greg Rakestraw of the ISC Sports Network and Tanner Camp of the Regional Radio Sports Network both had highly entertaining games this evening, and they chime in on them. We also discuss famous.... mustaches? It wouldn’t be an Indiana Sports Talk without them or WKLO’s David Deaton calling in. He does so to break down Salem vs Orleans. As Indiana closes in on their national championship birth, Brendan King and coach Lovell discuss the Hoosiers running up the score. 

To kick off a Friday night edition of Indiana Sports Talk, coach Bob Lovell talks to Perry Nash of Columbus East after their nail-biting victory of Bedford North Lawrence. Then, Brendan King and coach marvel at IU’s performance through one half at the Peach Bowl. They then discuss the IU Indy Jags dropping their game at Green Bay as well as other college basketball notes. Coach Lovell sets up Brendan’s Indiana State broadcast for tomorrow and what people should expect. To round out the hour, John Natali of the ISC Sports Network starts to break down his double-header of Carroll and Delphi boys and girls games.  

Crown Point Head Coach Clint Swan joins coach to talk about the schedule his team runs and his big win over HSE. Andrew Weaver from Plainfield fills coach in on the 2 BIG wins from his team! Jeremiah Johnson hops on to talk about the Pacers loss to the Spurs and the woeful season it has been. 

Coach Lovell and Brendan King talk about the Magic of IU Football and some looking ahead of the weekend HS basketball games and current on going games.

In the final hour of tonight’s program, Coach turns to Brendan King asking about aspirations for the colts at this point in the season. Steve Kolb of WAXL then calls in to talk Heritage Hills basketball after a double figure win over Boonville. David Deaton was on the call for 2 Corydon Central wins, the first of which found a final score of a staggering 77-19! 

During the second hour of tonight's show, Coach is joined by Matt Taylor, the voice of the Colts, reviewing how the Colts got to their current state. Bouncing back to the hardwood, Kurt Darling speaks on Lapel’s 56-47 win over rival Yorktown. Dr. Leonard Clark and coach Lovell then talk the ins and outs of coaching styles pertaining to high school hoops. 

Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files continues the Pacers conversation and how now Indiana has the worst record in the league. How have their goals changed through this season and what lies ahead on the schedule for them? Poor starts continuing to disrupt the Pacers’ flow, but that wasn’t the case Friday night. Then, Brendan King gives us some background on where some of the Illinois schools are that played Indiana schools this weekend. We check in on some of the area's high school basketball tournaments before Nathaniel Finch checked in. He called multiple high school games today at the Wabash Valley tournament including an overtime thriller between Martinsville and Shakamak. 

Fresh off the Christmas holiday for a Saturday night version of Indiana Sports Talk, Host Bob Lovell introduces Brendan King to talk the Colts elimination from playoff contention. Greg Rakestraw then calls in to discuss his recent coverage of northern Indiana high school basketball and a further outlook on the Colts’ situation. 

To start the 10 o’clock hour, Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com gives us an Indiana Hoosier Rose Bowl preview and the biggest storylines heading in. How do they compare to Alabama and how will the game playout? Then, Jeff shifts over to the basketball side and how a long layoff can help the team. Also, he answers questions on what the team’s identity after non-conference play. Then, Jeremiah Johnson from the Pacers TV broadcast breaks down Indiana’s loss to the Celtics Friday night. To wrap the segment, Brendan King and coach Lovell talk more high school sports and the holidays.  

A Friday edition of Indiana Sports Talk gets underway with host coach Bob Lovell and Brendan King previewing what’s to come on the show and the college football bowl season. They start to preview the Rose Bowl for Indiana and how this time of year has changed. J.R. Howell, head coach of Zionsville kicks off the high school basketball scores by discussing his teams' win over Fort Wayne Caroll in the Homestead tournament. 

Coach Bob Lovell finally gets a chance to chat with Brad Huber about the huge number of high school scores rolling in on this Saturday night before two Indiana Sports Talk staples call in. Steve Kolb of WAXL talks about Davis County Kentucky and Heritage Hills and David Deaton breaks down Orleans and North Harrison. Rich Schelsky’s Park Heritage team made back-to-back wins on the weekend. They remain the No.1 ranked team in 2A. We shift over to women’s hoops with coach Crawford of Purdue Poly Tech and her team’s victory over University. As the show begins to wind down, we check in with Brad Huber who has been swamped with games going final all night. He also gives coach Lovell a Christmas present by reading off more scores. The ISC Sports Network’s Rick Johnston drops a line to the show to break down Sheridan’s 79-50 win over Frankfort. Lastly, Nathaniel Finch, voice of the Roncalli Royals, stops by to chat about their win over Beech Grove.  

We kick off the second hour of the show with a call from up Interstate 69 as David Eha of the Ball State radio network chimes in to report the Cardinals’ tough loss to undefeated Miami of Ohio. Next, Bryon Clouse has his Portage team’s win and his leadership program that he runs. Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files gives the news of the Indiana Pacers falling on the road to the New Orleans Pelicans and why Indiana has struggled over the last few weeks. We bounce back over to high school scores with Floyd Central’s Michael McBride. His team continues to learn how to win close games, and it showed up Saturday night as they beat Bloomington South. Brian Sullivan of the Clark Floyd Sports Network had a close one between Lawrence North and New Albany. On the call for the Breakaway Classic was Greg Rakestraw and he breaks it all down. Jim Ferris from South Knox, Kurt Darling of WMUN and Chris Hawkins of Crispus Attucks also call in.  

On a Saturday night edition of Indiana Sports Talk, Rob Blackmon of the Purdue radio network kicks it off with Purdue’s Indy Classic win over Auburn and how the defense showed up. Then, John Natale of the ISC Sports Network has the first high school score report of the night with Central Catholic and Rossville. John Herrick of the IU Radio Network calls in to discuss the Hoosiers’ win over Chicago State. Head coach of Carmel, Ryan Osborn, brings us back to high school after his team's win over Kokomo and describes how his team is winning with defense. 

Rick Johnston of the ISC Sports Network and Nathaniel Finch, the radio play-by-play voice for the Roncalli Royals also join in this hour. 

Other callers in this hour include Andrew Smith of New Pal Radio.com, J.R. Howell the head coach of Zionsville and David Deaton of WKLO.  

To kick off the final hour, Matt Taylor, the play-by-play radio voice of the Indiana Colts talks about the travel logistics and Phillip Rivers starting for the Indianapolis Colts. He also talks about why this game is extremely important for the Colts in terms of their playoff hopes. Taylor also gives some shoutouts to round out his segment. Update anchor Nathaniel Finch and producer Caleb Zuver talk about the new studios they are doing the shows from and what they expect from the Colts tomorrow. Then, coach Lovell recaps and previews holiday tournaments from around the state.  

To kick off the second hour, coach Lovell and sports update anchor Nathaniel Finch discuss Fernando Mendoza winning the Heisman Trophy and his acceptance speech. They also touch on the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team’s loss at Kentucky and where head coach Darren DeVries goes from here. They circle back to Roncalli’s upset over Lawrence Central in girls basketball this morning with Nathaniel Finch who was on the call. He also previews the rest of the Marion County Tournament. We take calls from Joey O’Rourke, the play-by-play voice for Indiana State basketball, to preview their game against Milwaukee tomorrow. Then, John Herrick of the IU Radio Network talks about the Hoosiers loss in Lexington to the Wildcats and Fernando Mendoza’s Heisman ceremony. Plus, Dr. Len Clark from Irish 101 discusses Notre Dame’s basketball win and the football team getting left out of the playoff.  

To kick off a Saturday edition of Indiana Sports Talk, we focus on the Roncalli vs Lawrence Central game in girls basketball with Brad Huber who was on the call for it as well as Nathaniel Finch who is the radio play-by-play voice for Roncalli. Then, Colts pre and postgame show host Greg Rakestraw joins to talk about Phillip Rivers making his return tomorrow afternoon in Seattle against the Seahawks. He also tries to compare it to seasons of Colts past. Does he still have his fastball?  

Trent Moorehead kicks off the final hour to discuss his teams win over South Ripley. Then, IST veteran Steve Kolb checks in before Fonso White of Taylor high school had a blowout win. Lastly, Nathaniel Finch, the radio voice of the Roncalli Rebels, had their win over Decatur Central. 

Greg Rakestraw of the ISC Sports Network had Carmel vs Noblesville before head coach of Orleans, Tom Bradley, talks about his team’s win over Northeast Dubois. Andrew Smith of NewPalRadio.com chops up the high scoring affair against Greenfield Central. Lastly, Joe Bradburn of Mt. Vernon captured a 62-47 win over Pendleton Heights.  

To kick off the first show in the brand new Urban One studios, Tanner Camp of the Regional Radio Sports Network calls in to talk about Penn vs Concord. Then, Kyle Roe, head coach of South Adams, breaks down his team’s win over Churubusco. Lastly, Kurt Darling from WMUN in Muncie had the rivalry between Delta and Yorktown.  

We kick off the final hour with updates on the Big Ten Championship and more high school basketball scores. Rick Johnston of the ISC Sports Network and Jeb Steward, head coach of Waldron Mohawk HC join. As the Big Ten Championship game ends, Nathaniel Finch, Coach Lovell and Brendan King react to the Hoosiers clinching it. Then, King talks to coach about the impending college football playoff rankings coming out tomorrow. Last but certainly not least, radio play-by-play voice of the Colts and Indiana alum Matt Taylor joins the show to give his raw reaction to the Hoosiers conference championship win and why this was only just a dream for so long. Then, he talks about how important the Colts game is Sunday afternoon in Jacksonville.  

To kick off the second hour, radio play-by-play voice on the Purdue Radio Network, Rob Blackmon, calls in to give his perspective on the Boilermakers’ first loss of the season against Iowa State. Brent Brobston of Frankton talks about his squad win over Tipton before Trent Moorehead, head coach at Hauser, celebrates his teams win over Trinity Lutheran. Plus, Crothersville vs Eastern Pekin, Parke Heritage and Riverton Parke. To round out the hour, Greg Rakestraw called 2 high school games as well as IU-Indy's game Saturday. He joins to recap it all.

On a monumental Saturday in downtown Indianapolis, it’s another edition of Indiana Sports Talk! The show starts with coach Bob Lovell and Nathaniel Finch recapping Purdue’s defeat against Iowa State Saturday afternoon. Then, Lee Jackson of Indianapolis Metropolitan high school talks about his team’s 70-50 win. McCutchen girls basketball head coach Jeff Knoy calls in to touch on their win over Zionsville.  

To kick off the final hour, we squeeze in some Pacers talk after their first road win of the year in Chicago against the Bulls with Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files. We go back to high school basketball with Tanner Camp of the Regional Radio Sports Network who had Chesterton’s 73-55 win over South Bend St. Joeseph. Brian Sullivan of WNAS, an Indiana Sports Talk veteran, calls in to chop up New Albany’s blowout win before Josh Thompson of Loogootee talks about his team getting the best of Wood Memorial by 2. Gary Darding Attica high school talks about his team’s loss. Then, Brad Huber and coach Lovell preview the major sports weekend in Indiana to finish the show.  

To kick off the second hour, head coach of the Pike girls basketball team, coach Keith Hollins, calls in to breakdown his team’s 68-43 win over North Central. He’s also joined by team captain Marley Jeffers to talk about the win. Brandon Appleton of New Haven and Josh King of the Castle Lady Knights talk about their team’s losses before we cover Cambridge City Lincoln, Penn vs Carroll and Mt Vernon vs North Posey. Then, one of the most exciting games tonight was South Knox and North Knox, a contest that ended in a game-winner. Jim Ferris from South Knox joins to break it down. Park Heritage, Monroe Central and Corydon Central all get covered to round out the hour.  

On a Friday night edition of Indiana Sports Talk, it’s the first basketball show of the year! To kick things off, Mark James of Triton Central calls in to talk about his team’s blowout win over Waldron. Then Knightstown boys' basketball head coach Chad Cook discusses a win before TJ Snider of Lakeland hops on for his team's runaway win. Then Mike Armstrong has girls' basketball for us with his Franklin team’s close win over Decatur Central. James Adcock of Demont Christian and Chad Pulver of Delphi round out the hour. 

To kick off the final hour, Pat Boylan of the Pacers radio network hops on to talk more about Pascal Siakam’s game-winner and the Pacers emergence over the past week. Boylan touches on the Pacers getting healthier and feeling more connected as the season goes on. Radio force for the IU Indy Jaguars, Greg Rakestraw, calls in to talk about their win over Morehead State Saturday to earn their third win of the season. Rakestraw and coach Lovell discuss how the fast-paced style of play showcased itself and look forward to the first conference game of the season against Detroit Mercy. Rakestraw finished his day by being on the call for the 6A state championship which saw Brownsburg beat Westfield. He joins to talk about the last game of the weekend. To round out the show, head coach DePauw Brett Dietz joins to talk about his playoff win, Jeff Rickard who called Brownsburg-Westfield, Matt Surface comments on the 4A and 6A games before Paul Condry and Len Clark call in.  

John Herrick of the IU Sports Radio network joins to talk about all things Hoosier athletics. The basketball team remains undefeated after a win over Bethune-Cookman this afternoon. Herrick comments on what has allowed them to get off to a hot start. Then he previews the Big Ten championship next weekend with the Hoosiers taking on Ohio State. Then, the Ball State men’s basketball dropped a tough one to Lafeyette Saturday afternoon. David Eha of the Ball State Radio Network talks about only being able to put up 37 points in the loss. Then, Brendan King and coach Lovell recap all of the state championship action from the weekend. Then, Scott Agness joins to talk about Pascal Siakam’s game-winner against Chicago Saturday evening.  

To kick off this Saturday edition of Indiana Sports Talk, coach Bob Lovell talks to Brendan King, who was on the call for Andrean and Brownstown’s defensive struggle in the Class 2A State Championship this morning. King recaps it and breaks down what led to the Fighting 59er win. Then, coach Lovell reflects on 31 years of Indiana Sports Talk covering high school football. Then, Jim Leisure, who was the color analyst for the game 2A State Championship game, calls in to break down the classic that took place inside Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday. 

Paul Condry calls in to give us some extra advice on all 3 games today and what he saw that differed from his prior experiences. He is a busy man but talks a great talk, so join in. Brian calls in to talk about some 3A action and how that tough matchup went. Andrew, who has been a part of this New Palestine run more than anyone else joins the show to talk about their historic run and also talks about some Alumni success. We round out the show with a couple coach interviews and views from BK, nothing better.

Mr. Leiser calls in to talk about the 1A State Championship between South Putnam vs Pioneer’s. He talks about how injuries played their role in this game and what that meant for BOTH teams. Starting off the 10 o’clock hour strong and they talk us through how Pioneer was able to get a healthy 55-29 win. Who is their standout player who is already getting looks already. A familiar voice, Kurt Darling calls in to talk some more 3A State Finals and touch on some 5A action. First, Cascade won in their first state finals.

Kick off the show much like the bucket game with Indiana and Purdue. BK gives us a in game update on some big players and how that match-up is shaping up. From there, we jump straight into what everyone came for. Yes, that’s right Indiana Highschool State Finals. We are talking previews of the 2,4,6 games tomorrow. Tonight we are going to dive into those 1,3,5 games and everything you need to know regarding that action.

It’s almost the holiday season, so we go to Santa Claus and WAXL’s Steve Kolb to get the rundown on Heritage Hills’ loss to Roncalli. Despite a huge blowout, there were plenty of storylines to discuss. The head coach of the Westfield Shamrocks, Josh Miracle, talks about his team's road trip to Fort Wayne Caroll and how they came away with a win to advance to the state championship. Another notable road win Friday night was South Putnam against Milan. The head coach of the Eagles, Chuck Sorrell, processes a state championship birth for his team. Next, the great Paul Condry of the Regional Radio Sports Network hops on to give his perspective on Merrillville's win over Concord and what it means to the Pirate Community. Lastly, IHSAA TV’s Tony Donahue recaps Brownstown Central’s 31-21 win over Lapel while Brendan King and coach Lovell preview upcoming vacations and why coach has never been to Las Vegas. They also preview state championship weekend.

Sullivan breaks down a game that had a notable underlying storyline. Then we go back to football with Andrew Smith of New Pal Radio.com who covered the Dragons shutout win over Bloomington South. Smith provides countless tidbits on New Pal’s run to the 5A title game. Coach Lovell and Brendan King look forward to the IHSAA State championships, college football and basketball. Head coach of Merrillville, Brad Seiss, calls in to celebrate a state championship birth. His team beat Concord 41-14, and he discusses the major plays in the game while also looking forward to the state championship game against New Palestine.
