For the final act of state championship Saturday, Brian Sullivan called both the 1A and 2A state championships tonight. He gives us a breakdown and how rewarding it was to see dreams come true for Borden and Eastern Pekin. We move back to the 3A and 4A games with Greg Rakestraw as well as the final game in the jungle for IU-Indy today. We then move to David Eha who touches on Ball State men’s basketball, getting back in the win column with a road victory over Northern Illinois. Next, it’s John Herrick who called the thriller between Norwell and Center Grove in the 4A game Saturday evening. Also, he previews the Indiana Hoosiers game versus the Michigan State Spartans. Lastly, it’s a Saturday night which means we’re talking to Kip Wesner of the Hoosier Basketball Magazine. He gives us his point of view on the games and what the month of March looks like for him. Congrats to all the state champs!

We work in some boys basketball with Monroe Central’s Brian Klein as his team dominated Blue River Valley. He also answers a question on why his team is playing a game on the final Saturday of the regular season while getting ready for the tournament. We get another update to the class 4A game from Brendan before Dr. Len Clark of Irish 101 calls in to talk about a Notre Dame basketball win over NC State and how they can claw their way to the ACC tournament. Then, Nathaniel Finch calls in to give a report on the 3A championship game loss for the Roncalli Royals and how Bellmont ran away with the game.

He kicks off the final hour with a report on North Harrison’s loss to Christian Academy. We then get back to our girls state finalist coach conversations, starting with the matchup in 3A. Jason Sims of Roncalli talks about some of the standout players for their team this year and what they expect heading into tomorrow. We then hit the 4A game with Center Grove’s Kevin Stuckmeyer. He explains how his team has taken on a defensive mentality and how a tough schedule has prepared them for the championship game. Lastly, Kip Wesner of Hoosier Basketball Magazine calls in to preview the girls state championships tomorrow. Lastly, we talk to Norwell’s Eric Thornton, who will matchup with Center Grove in tomorrow’s 4A championship.
