In 2010, Pune was shaken by the gruesome ‘Mundi Murder’ case, where three youths brutally killed a 15-year-old boy, beheaded him, and allegedly played football with his severed head. Over a decade later, the case resurfaced when one of the accused, Suryakant alias Pandit Kamble, leader of the 'Pandit and Yallya' gang, was arrested for another murder in 2023 after evading the law for 19 months. With a history of violent crimes, including multiple murders and serious offenses, his capture brings back chilling memories of a crime that still haunts the city.
