We discussed the important mission of Respite Care of San Antonio and how it’s helping to support families caring for children with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs.  Their  programs, including a childcare center, camps, and community respite programs, have been proven to reduce caregiver stress, strengthen families and help prevent child abuse and neglect.  We talked about a new and exciting program that has developed that’s going to double the amount of people they can help.  We talked about all their programs and Rebecca shared a great story about the impact their services have had on clients (bring a handkerchief).
