We talked about the unique position of Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in it’s part of town, how it tackles certain health issues of the community and how it uniquely serves the Southside Community in a number of ways including their Nest Program, their Diabetes and Stroke Support groups, and their Christmas program for people at the hospital that have lost a loved one.

People think about giving their families the gift of a pet during the holidays.  Lisa encouraged people to think about adoption first.  We talked about the benefits of adoption, and all the services ACS and other shelters offer to adopters.  We also talked about the shelter's upcoming Home For the Holidays event on 12/20 and 12/21 with lots of Christmas activities for the family.
