June is PTSD awareness month.  Jordyn Jureczki, CEO talks about the mission of the Frontline Healing Foundation (formally Warrior’s Heart Foundation) , a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, supports programs that address the unmet needs of suffering servicemen and women and give individuals and communities the tools to become self-sufficient.  Jordyn is both a Navy Veteran and former Law Enforcement office.  Her story prior to getting help from Warrior’s Heart serves as an inspiration to others that are in the same situation.

Our guests were, Dawn White-Fosdick, President and CEO and Valerie Salas Narvaez, Director of Homeless Services We talked about the history and mission of Christian Assistance Ministry.  Talked about the unique approach of CAM to help San Antonians in crisis, including low-income families, senior citizens, single parents, and others in need.  We focused on the homeless situation in San Antonio, and what listeners could do to help.  Valerie Narvaez shares her unique story about homelessness and how it help her with her job at CAM.

Respite Care of San Antonio’s mission is to protect, love, build trust and nurture the growth of children with special needs and complex medical conditions while strengthening the families caring for them.  Rebecca talked about the many programs the have to accomplish this mission and the two grants they just received from Impact San Antonio and the Moody Foundation of Galveston to help with their Developmental Childcare Program in the coming school year.  Rebecca also talked about an exciting new program they were working on in conjunction with other nonprofits.

Also talked about vaccinations and microchipping clinics.
