NAMI Greater San Antonio – Nation Alliance on Mental Illness

Talked about NAMI’s 40 year history in San Antonio and how it currently helps people with Mental Illness.  Talked about the prevalence of mental illness (1 in 5 people), the signs and symptoms of mental illness, and what to do if you are suffering or know someone that is.   NAMI has a number of different programs including their Bridges to Care Program, The Pathways to Hope program, Wellness Champions, and their many support groups.  We also talked about how their warmline can help you reach a professional that can help you understand what’s going on as well as help you find resources in San Antonio.
