On In My Day, Ray called in to talk about The Herald in the 1950's with returned soldiers losing their RSA badges (no not medals) in pubs as they came to terms with the end of WW2, finding solace in the bottom of a beer glass, and then advertising their loss in The Herald classifieds 'lost and found'.
After three published ads and no success, returned soldiers were issued with a new RSA badge.
