In 2016, Natasha entered a relationship with a man she thought was going to be a solid partner and a role model for her 7 year old son. He turned out to be the exact opposite, and she found herself in court in 2018 to face this man who had become her abuser.

On average, a woman in Canada is killed every six days by her intimate partner. Natasha was nearly one them.
