Gauteng-Department of Transport (DoT) has confirmed that the only driving license card printer in South Africa has broken down again. This followed the announcement by Tshwane that the machine had been out of order since January and that a few to no cards had been issued since the start of the year. The City of Tshwane has called for calm, and encouraged drivers to continue to renew their licenses before they expire to qualify for the three-month grace period.
