Now, as home medical kits containing prescription antibiotics become more widely marketed, Dr. Peter Papadakos , Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Rochester, is concerned about their dangers to an unknowing public. AND, August is Spinal Muscular Atrophy Awareness Month, and while SMA was once considered one of the most devastating genetic diseases affecting children, the last decade has brought remarkable breakthroughs.
