For more than a decade, the Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival has been a staple of Southern Tasmanian winters.

Featuring pagan costumes, Morris Dancing, music, storytelling, and a giant burning effigy; it's brought many a tradition to the Huon Valley region.

But this weekend, Big Willie will burn for the final time.
