Grief hits differently depending on how the loved one is lost. Companions on a Journey Grief Support has gathered for 30 years in the Cincinnati region, helping widows, parents, children and all others survive their grief, express it in a safe environment, and is a no-cost program. The founders have formed several types of groups for young widows/widowers, older ones, and now people who have lost their cherished loved one through drug Overdose, whether intentional or accidental. Today's show with facilitator Julie Leonard explores the support system created for this special population, tells where to find it and offers first-hand experience in the intentional death of her husband by overdose.
