Formula 1 has gained popularity in the United States over recent years, due in large part to the Netflix show Drive to Survive. As a result, there’s been an explosion of F1 content creators, especially female content creators. On this week’s episode of If I’m Honest, Julia Landauer sits down with Hannah and Zoe, the creators of Fan Behavior: An F1 Podcast. Longtime friends, Hannah and Zoe had different paths to discovering F1, but their shared goal is to learn, have fun, and provide a safe space for any and all F1 fans. Julia, Hannah, and Zoe discuss being female content creators, gender dynamics in F1, and finding community and enjoyment in the F1 space. Julia also shares how Hannah and Zoe’s relatability, inviting tone, and commentary on many facets of the sport (including Carlos Sainz’s beautiful hair) attracted her to their content.
