The Voice: Advocating for Australian tech 

Tom McMahon, the Tech Council of Australia’s Chief of Staff, joins us to discuss the Australian tech landscape. Topics include a response to the federal budget, how the sector can work more effectively with government and the job opportunities created by this rapidly growing industry.  

“I think now we're seeing that government is developing a greater appreciation for just how far the industry has come. And so having the Tech Council being established at that time, providing that voice for government, I think it just shows we're being treated with the level of seriousness that we deserve as an industry.” 

"The purpose of the Tech Council is to basically be that body that brings the industry together and then can talk to government about the needs of the industry and problems that are existing outness that we deserve as an industry”
