People come to me and they say, hey, ice I want to act. You have to learn the fundamentals. You have to say the words without looking at the paper, and you have to stand on the tape. You have to be on the mark or you will be out of focus or you won't be in the shot. Those are your fundamentals. Whether you're a musician, you have to learn how to play the guitar first correctly before you can start doing your solos. Like Jimi Hendrix, you have to learn. I used to be a huge fan of ODB from Wu Tang, one of the most unorthodox rappers ever. You know, rest in peace, but to rap the way he rapped, he had to master the fundamentals.
