Icey's Daily Game. It's a production of iHeartRadio. What's Suffer Size Team. You're listening to The Daily Game, the compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years that I've found inspiring and helped me through the game of life. Today's quote comes from an ancient Roman philosopher Seneca. This one right here hit me. We suffer more in imagination than in reality. Now, I guess this can be argued because there are people out there that are truly, truly suffering and reality. But let's talk about us that are doing okay, that have jobs and lifes, and we're living in a great country where we have, you know, indoor plumbing and grocery story. Let's talk about us, not people in third world countries or people that are in war dealing with true suffering for more in imagination than in reality. I always said, worrying is like putting the down payment on a problem you may never have. You know, we can sit up in our minds and mind fuck ourselves into suffering that does not really exist. It doesn't really exist, even like my job. When we're reacting, I was like, don't confuse this with work. You know, we actually are getting to play grown up. Make believe we come in here, we're not lifting bricks, we're not dealing with issues and problems. But in our brains we can sit up and suffer. We can go through so much problem and so much heartache that maybe hasn't even happened, but we can mind fuck ourselves. So I always try to tell people, you know, don't mind fuck yourself into misery. I do it. I could be driving to work, i could be feeling so fucked up. I'm like, man, shit is going wrong. This is going this way, this is going that way, And then I snatched myself up. I'm like, motherfucker, you're in a Bentley sit Ain't that bad? The fuck's the matter with you? This is a guy sitting on the side of the road and had nothing to eat. Let's get perspective. And I think everyone needs a reference point to fucked up, Like there has to be a point in your life where something was really fucked up, and use that reference point next time you start to go through your suffering and say, you know what, I've been fucked up. This is not fucked up. I've been through some bad times. I'm gonna pull through this you know so really, I guess what Seneca was saying is don't let your imagination mind fuck you into misery. In reality, you might be doing good, you might be doing all right. That's the real shit you said. Mind fucked yourself to think that you and your Gucci sneakers are having a bad time. This has been another ice coldefact from me iced tea. Listening again tomorrow when I drop some wisdom on your ass till then, stay safe, stay smart, and say knowing that you have control over how you react to any situation.
