Texas Additional Information: Kendra Wilkerson is currently Ms. Black Texas. As a student at Texas A&M University- San Antonio, she had an opportunity to be an active participant in the prestigious performing arts groups as a member of marching bands, chorales
and held leadership positions in a variety of leadership organizations. Some of the leadership organizations include, participation in a Congressional Internship during President Obama’s Administration a member of and a Sigma Alpa Iota International Music Fraternity.
She has learned the importance of education, arts advocacy and the impact that it has on our international community. As we continue to advance in a global landscape, living a healthy life of confidence and positive self-esteem is important for us to succeed,
leaving a lasting impact. She plans to continue to grow a generation of understanding and empathy, with a goal of building global acceptance and diversity that is centered around education, peace, positive self-esteem and inclusivity.
