At around 4 p.m., they were seen together. Soon after, both children were missing. Search dogs reportedly tracked Kreneice’s scent to the road, but no farther. More than 34 years later, neither child has been found, and investigators have never publicly established what happened to them.

They also said he had shot their aunt and caregiver, 56-year-old Pamela Jean Myles-Johnson. Nearly seven years later, two arrests appeared to mark a break in the case, but no indictments followed. In 2025, additional arrests followed, and authorities publicly revealed who they believed wanted Pamela killed and why. As of this recording, the investigation remains active, and no trial or conviction has been publicly announced.
