Alice Thompson is the CEO of the Committee for the Hunter, a membership-based organisation committed to the social, economic and sustainable development of the Greater Hunter region.

In her role, Alice has led regional submissions to federal and state budgets, has advocated on social and affordable housing as well as the the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hunter Joint Organisation.

Regarded as a leader in public policy, Alice has worked across all three levels of government on strategic planning, infrastructure, industry growth strategy, urban planning and regional development.

Alice lives in Lake Macquarie where she enjoys riding her bike around the neighbourhood and sharing her love of kung fu and manga with her kids.
