Hope Book Club Bonus Ep - 'A Song for the Road'

View descriptionShare

‘On her 38th birthday, Miriam Tedesco received flowers from a ghost.’

One year after the death of her husband and teenagers, Miriam Tedesco is struggling to hold it together. When she receives a bunch of flowers from her dead husband on their wedding anniversary, she understandably unravels. She sets off on a musical pilgrimage with her husband’s guitar, her daughter’s cello and her son’s unfinished piano sonata to grieve her family and face up to her choices.

While the plot may sound heavy, it’s actually a very hopeful book and Miriam’s authentic Catholic faith is a natural part of the story.

Katrina Roe spoke to author Kathleen Basi about her novel, her faith and her love of music.
